WIPING AWAY THE DIRT

Lord I have been covered in dirt from head to toe many times in my life. Both literally and figuratively.

Figuratively speaking creating a thick layer of shame, guilt and condemnation that satan planned for me to wallow in.

Daddy only now I can begin to see through the gunk of past pain which blinded my eyes. Wiping away some of those hurts my family and the world dealt me. Daddy I continue to reach out my hand.

There are days when I have more of a firm grip of Your hand and then there are days the dirt weighs me down and I loose hold. That is when I cry out in desperation for Your Help!!!

"It's a fact: You will have problems in this life. You will stumble & fall into the dirt and dust of this world. But don't give up! Don't let the dirt and dust be the only thing you see. See Me! Reach out your hand and call out, "Help me, Jesus." -Jesus Calling for Kids.

  3. You always find the best pic that goes well with your heartfelt posts!

How hard is it to just give our dirt to Jesus Whose hands are always quick to reach out & save us? But it is because this world's ways &what we know is far from His ways &thoughts...

I wonder why Jesus spat on a mound of dirt before putting them on a blind man's eyes &of course, that man was healed! So thankful for our Savior Who loves unconditionally no matter how much blinded we are with the dirt of this world! Take care JBR!

  5. Excellent post JBR! Oh how dirty we are and we from each day gather the dust of the world upon us as we journey from this attitude to that attitude, from this person's strong words of hate, that person's dastardly deeds...at the end of the day ...we are dirty and we need to let the LORD bathe us in the Blood of the Lamb, the watering of His Word....excellent post excellent post!

  7. I have read several of your postings and my heart was deeply touched by the suffering and sorrow of the abuse you experienced. Please visit my blog, I am a beginner at writing ...and trying to express the darkness of suffering ..from abuse, abandonment, and rejection...knowing that there is but one source of Help, Deliverance, Healing...the LIGHT ...I chose the name Cloak of Darkness for that is what it was for so long ...a heavy cloak upon my back...then in the night my vision was enhanced and I saw the LIGHT ....! My icon is the broken face of a woman ...many pieces to who she is, who she will become...

  10. JBR love the post. The truth that remains is that God is with us in everything and anything that comes against us. As we get dirty, he cleans us up. If were willing.

Life on this earth is fleeting. Eternity with God is never-ending and it's there that we will understand that the storms in our lives were only the winds that brought us closer to the reward that God has prepared for us. You will know then that God never left your side despite what you had to suffer. The strength to endure and not to fear was always with you and that his power was manifested in your weakness. God bless.

  14. We all are covered in dust and dirt once in a while or more often. It is only important how we deal with it. Staying in the dirt or getting up and cleaning ourselves. Love from my heart to yours.

  21. ah JBR, one more time I am reminded of Spurgeon's quote...
'faith is the hand that grasps'....

It's what we all do, we reach out our hand to Him when we can't do it alone, and we just cannot do this life alone. He didn't mean for us to. He is right there, holding you up as you lean into Him. You are doing just what He wants you to, and He is faithful to His promises, for you, me and each of us. THANK GOD!!
