In our lives many times our emotional/physical/spiritual pain and sorrows can get in the way. Clouding our perspective.
My desire in this stage of my journey as I grow nearer to God is to seek His presence ever more! Where I can boldly go before Him and seek His face only.
Even through hardship, to be open to what the Lord has to reveal to me in order to heal. Through these times is where I gain strength as I hold tightly to my Daddy's hand. I do not want to loose sight to what my Daddy has to offer me!
For those of you who get encouragement through the book Jesus Calling, today's devotional I am sure without a doubt we all can relate to somehow!
"Come to Me and rest. I am all about you, to bless and restore. Breathe Me in with each breath. The way just ahead of you is very steep. Slow down and cling tightly to My hand. I am teaching you a difficult lesson, learned only by hardship.
Lift up empty hands of faith to receive My precious Presence. Light,, Life, Joy and Peace flow freely through this gift. When your focus turns away from Me, you grasp for other things. You drop the glowing gift of My Presence as you reach for lifeless ashes. Return to Me; regain My Presence." - Jesus Calling
Oh where in the world would we be w/out knowing the Father's Rest!
ReplyDeleteIn my church we teach that there are two sides to every mountain..one side representing the Son's realm and the other side representing the Father's realm...on the son's side we learn of His love, His life and His light, His Word, we pray we fast and we study, theory side: on the other side of the mountain < HOLY MTN ZION > is the Father's side, and that is where we experience the theory we learned on the son's side: We rest in the truths we learned as we descend on the mountain....theory + experience = Truth: We can lay back in the arms of the truth, we learned by theory as we experience those theory's on the Father's side bringing rest to us as we go through each valley, each struggle, each day..Oh yes sweet is the rest < trust> of in the Father's perfect plans for us! We learn by studying on the son's realm that God is Jehovah Jireh ...but on the Father's realm we experience the theory of God being Jehovah Jireh thus bringing forth a knowing < truth > that God IS Jehovah Jireh....! Just a bit of sharing ...hope you do not mind!
JBR that's what's all about. Resting in Him. We were never meant to go it alone anyway. Jesus found that out firsthand when he became a human being. He depended heavily on his heavenly Father for support and guidance. When he was exhausted, he went off by himself to rest in God. Continue to hold tightly to your daddys hand JBR. He wants you to. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteJBR, prior to coming here and as I prepare my hubby's lunch for the day few mins. ago, this thought came to mind as I prayed silently to the Lord: "I couldn't imagine the weight of the world placed on His cross...yet He offered, "Come to Me, if you're tired and heavily laden. For my yoke is easy and My burden is LIGHT!!!" Here I am reading your post, reassuring me about His wonderful promise. Glory be to God! I don't know still why things happened at my work. Except for two: those people who abuse their power need to learn something and so do I...I'm being drawn closer to Him. So, keep that in mind: "His hold on us is the one that saves..." Blessings.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your week...as you bask in his awesome presence..He renews us day by day ..continuing to create us into his perfect image.
ReplyDeleteDear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. 3 All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure. 1 John 3:2-3

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and leaving encouraging words. Your post today really speaks to me and reinforces a truth He is teaching me over and over: "Come to me (with empty hands) and I will give you rest." He will not fail us!
ReplyDeleteThis floored me when I read it. Holding on to his hand tightly. He is all I have.
