" Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]." Isaiah 53:4
These past few days I have been in the wilderness.
The Lord impressing upon "my" heart in no particular order.....
(1) How Great is Our God!
(2) The Word of God does all the work. Not "me." Confessing the Word out loud, and then getting behind it and letting the Word fight its own fight on my behalf!
(3) According to the Scripture above, I am not "the sick" trying to get healed. No, I am already healed. "I am the healed." Satan is trying to take my health away from me.
(4) Treat others in love.
(5) Live more the "super" natural. And,
(6) To let go of many preconceived (strongholds) ideas.
SO great....so overwhelmingly great:)
ReplyDeletethanks for the stir,
Jennifer
God bless you JBR. I love that song too.
ReplyDeleteI 've been feeling very lonely since my sister left on Sunday. It scares me. Routine tasks are difficult to perform. I need to express a need of min e to someone, but I am afraid, please pray that I may and that he may respond favorably
Those are great truths. Love that song!
ReplyDeleteSo that's where you were (in the wilderness)! Just kidding. God has obviously been at work during your short break - I love the Scripture verse at the top of your post. Your post reminds me of how often the Lord seems to tell me to get out of my own way (if that makes sense). He does the work and when I butt my nose in things go awry :) After all, the Bible says that His thoughts are not our thoughts and His ways are far above ours (paraphrased).
ReplyDeleteGreat message here, Grace. We need to stop thinking in a "worldly" manner and start thinking in a "heavenly" manner because we are children of the King and our citizenship is in His Kingdom.
May God bless you, my friend:)
thhe freedom and power that comes from just being His are so awesome...enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteJBR glad to have your back. Wilderness' or dry deserts can be beneficial. Not always pleasant. But I find I time of refreshing in my case. Obedience is what I usually come away with. Knowing that is the key to connecting to God. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteEven in those places we would rather not be we glean things about God. Love that song you shared.
ReplyDeleteI was anticipating what you would post as I had been assuming that your silence for the past days meant more "molding" in your heart being done by the Nail-scarred Hands.
ReplyDeleteI love the truth in no.3!!! Thank you for reminding me!!!
May His grace flood your heart thirsty for Him! God bless.
You have been on my mind the last few days. This is one of my favorite songs. You remind me that I need to listen to my Christian music more often. It is so inspiring.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic song! I've been in that wilderness many times & it seems right now God seems fit to leave me in the valley. But, no matter where we are He is right there beside us and sometimes carrying us.
ReplyDelete(((Hugs)))

Very wise, what you are learning. God is teaching you so many things. I can see in your posts how you are maturing spiritually. PTL!
ReplyDeleteA blessing always that God gives us the inspiration from His words. Need to hear from him always
ReplyDeleteWishing you a nice and relaxing weekend and sending many hugs your way! xx
ReplyDeleteI hope you have looked into the sky while you are/were out there - there is such magic there. I'm sure you know that though :0)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend!
Wow, number 6 spoke to me...I need to remember that as I go into my new school in about a week and remember to keep an open mind. Thanks JBR!
