These past few days while I have been off, I found more time to spend on the computer ‘blog hopping,’ discovering new blogs as well as revisiting old ones. There is a lot of pain out there in the blogasphere! Then at the same time there is a lot of healing. I have been emotionally touched by what I have read of the triumphs and the agonies. Shed tears as I could relate and connect deeply to some of the pain!
Now, I kind of understand a bit of my purpose to this extended “time off,” as I questioned what would I do with these three extra days? I had nothing planned. Was really not even thinking about taking a road trip or doing such and such. I just did not feel at peace about any of that. What I did know was I did need to recuperate and feed my spirit and be alone with my God, which continues to happen.
The leading of reading and spending time on blogs was not my first priority. But, it was something that the Holy Spirit had planned in finding a purpose for me to visit particular blogs to gain more insight to my own pain in order for healing to take place in time.
I do pace myself, as some of my discoveries are very painful for me.
It's wise to pace yourself. that's something I sometimes--well--often forget to do.
ReplyDeleteThere are different walks of life out in blog world. Be kind to yourself as you discover yourself.
ReplyDeleteOne step at a time.
ReplyDeleteAll the best in your quest JBR!
ReplyDeleteMay God bless you with the strength you need and cause you to bless those you come across who need His peace.
ReplyDelete♥Hope
GOD's timing is always perfect. He knows just what we need and just when we need it. I am thankful you were able to see your purpose in and through the blogs you visited.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful weekend!
Blessings and prayers, andrea
I certainly agree more and more that God's timing is perfect. He does come to us at the right moment to touch our heart, to give that hope, to share that promise, and to lift us up to carry us on!
ReplyDeleteGlory to God for the discernment the Spirit provides, in getting uplifted by Him first and by others even through by blogging. You are an encourager to us, too. God bless.
ReplyDeleteYou're such an encourager. I love coming daily to your blog to see how God is using you. I know you're working through issues, but how you express your pain and even your accomplishments are really uplifting to me and I hope to anyone else who seeks encouragement. You're a light in a dark place. Keep it up. God bless.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found your days off to be conducive to healing.
ReplyDeleteThank you one and all for your comments.
ReplyDeleteIt is only by the Grace of God and the strength that He gives me to continue on. Some days I reflect back thinking, "where would I be if I did not have Him in my life?" I am so grateful that I do know Him, even at the many times when I do not feel His presence, I believe His Word that He never does leave me nor forsake me!
Your blog reminds me of a portion of the long form of the 'Serenity Prayer':
ReplyDelete"Living one day at a time;
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;"
God bless you on your pathway to peace.
PG
one day at a time right?
ReplyDeletethe great thing about visiting blogs is that there are some that have great messages, some that are just down right fun to read.I hope that you are having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to discovering that things are still painful. I am going through that in my own journey right now. I'm glad that you are sharing what the Holy Spirit has had in store for you during your days off. It's encouraging.
ReplyDeleteYou can gain so much information from different blogs you visit. I have my regulars that I go to and then I can be directed to another blog that will have something for me there. Right now I'm searching out info on horses and have come across some valuable blogs on the topic. I'm a regular visitor of yours as you speak the truth and I appreciate that. Take care.
ReplyDeleteJBR- yes, there's always a purpose if we wait for the end of a matter. ~rick
ReplyDeletePrayer Girl what a compliment for comparision of the Serenity Prayer to my blog. Blessings dear one.
ReplyDeleteYes Cat, one day at a time. Amen!
Jan and Mike, yes there is a lot out there in blog-land to learn and educate one's mind.
Rhonda, I am so very sorry for the painful struggles you are going through. Glad you do find encouragement in my blog as I do in yours. You have truly been through hell. It is not of me but of the Holy Spirit that guides me with what to share here. That is why I have the disclaimer right under my playlist that my blog is inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Rikkj, you snuck under the radar while I was posting. I agree there is always a purpose to everything. God is in control, if we just let Him!
ReplyDeleteYour blog never fails to share meaning and purpose. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteOne of the most difficult things I do on my blog is to be honest. It's not hard for me. It's hard for others. Because I talk about the RealME others often think I need pity or i'm soliciting a debate etc. That is not at all what I do. I simply purge to clean up the inside of my head. I talk about real issues every day. Some days are hard (like yesterday) and some days are great (like the day before). There are enough blogs out in blogasphere that are happy, gushy & Praise Jesus (and I do) that I think my little blog is safely tucked away and those who dare to be honest, visit. I appreciate every one of them. If they post, I don't care how tired, sick or down and out I may feel-I show them courtesy and friendship and go to their private space and say hello.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is a blessing to me. Truly. The hand of God is working in my life daily. Though i'm not nearly as proficient with verse I am open to meaning. Your blog is real. Right now, I need real. So to you my new friend- THank You for being you. Blessings to you today!
I don't spend half the time as i should looking at blogs. Usually tend to websites. But theres alot to learn out there that's true. Glad the leading of the holy spirit is strong within you. Bless you.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing how God will use blogs to reach out to you and direct you in ways you might not otherwise see!
ReplyDeleteI know I have found such love and support from the people I have met on the blogging world and not only that they are part of my family now as are you!
I hope that you find much love, inspiration and hope and God reveals His very special plans for you!
Love and Hugs ~ Kat
Amazing how total strangers that we would never have 'met' otherwise (and probably WON'T meet til we get to heaven) can totally touch our hearts, give us inspiration, and reveal God's truth's to us, huh?
ReplyDeletePraying for you.
E-thank you for your visit, and oh so very kind words. Heaven will be awesome! I cannot wait for that day which a day will be an eternity! Awesome!
ReplyDeleteKat you are very sweet and I appreciate your visits very much and uplifting comments!
