HE UNDERSTANDS

In my morning walks and sharing time with the Lord He especially knows how hard it is for me ‘right now’ on Sunday’s going into Monday's. He knows how hard it is for me to go and worship Him at church on Sunday’s. Not saying that is a sin if you do not go and worship. But, you are missing out on the fellowship of other believers and being in the awesome presence of the Lord with others who believe alike. I certainly look forward to the day of returning soon with a renewed heart towards Him. Right now it is just hard.

I do not keep anything from Him when we chat. I might not be able to verbally share my most deep emotional pain, as there are no words for it, but He knows. And I know He knows and understands. Which makes all the difference. That is all I really need to know. That He does understand and I am NOT condemned for how I feel, think and believe.

  1. Isn't it awesome to know HE hears the groaning and yearnings of our heart...even when we are unable to speak the words?
    Blessings and hugs, andrea

  2. Very true. And He knows what's in our hearts even before we pour them out. We just have to be real.^^

  6. JBR,

I thought of you when I read the daily reflection on our website today...so I am sharing it with you...scroll down to Dec. 20th when the page opens. (Although I, myself am the author of the relections...they are very "Spirit-led" and so I go back to my own website each day of the week to READ the prayers for it is like I am seeing them for the first time.)
Anyway, you came immediately to my mind and heart when I read today's prayer...hope you don't mind me sharing it with you:

  7. I'm so thankful too that I don't have to be anyone but my true self when I come to the Lord and sit with Him and tell Him everything in my heart no matter what.

  11. Dearest, in my opinion, something of a breakthrough may be happening. You are at least opening up to "someone" (God). If he knows the number of hairs on your head, so he most assuredly knows your pain, and He seeks more than you know to be able to intercede and heal it for you. You are headed in the right direction. But it is up to YOU to GIVE it TO HIM! That requires complete faith and TRUST. If you have that, you can do this, and you WILL.

You seem very close to a breakthrough - just remember, when you get to the bottom, there is no place to go but UP UP UP!

Seek consolation and guidance from the Holy Spirit; prayerfully ask and give your hurt to Him. He will gladly take it, in fact, He's probably growing weary of you not giving it to Him. Not making light of your pain, just saying He knows, He loves, He is all GOOD and there is nothing to lose and everything to gain through Him.

Peace be with you. You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love,
    Abbey
