These past few days I have been sick.
There was a period in time over a year ago that I could be around people who were sick and I would not be infected. Already twice this year I have come down with the same symptoms that get me.
As I become freer the more I am buffeted by the enemy. I become more of a threat. I have learned that Satan uses my weaknesses to try and divert me from the truth. The truth that sets me free from bondage. As I have been getting closer to just that, positive things begin happening in my life. When that does, then I become more of a frequent target for the enemy than ever before.

Don't let him distract you, always remember God is standing beside you. The devil cannot overstep God's commands, meaning he can't just do whatever he wants to you, God will lift up a standard against the enemy, so don't be afraid or discouraged! Just wanted to give you some encouragement because that's what the devil have been doing to me just before my breakthrough. He tries to do anything to keep us bound, or make us miss out on our blessings, etc. He brings the fire and heat on to destroy us just before the breakthrough. Remember it is darkest just before the light.
I have missed so much in your life. Doesn't pay to skip out on blogs. My blog has been inactive for so long.

I'm so glad you commented on my post, and I followed you to yours this morning! I was just experiencing the process of freedom ONE MORE TIME this morning, and had read Psalm 16:11 before I came to your blog and saw it again. I was thanking God that He would show me the path of life for this day and reminding myself not to worry about plans beyond this day. Thank God that "when the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him."

Awareness of his strategies is important. Once you know his ways you can counterattack.
I wouldn't give the devil that much credit. Do you want to hear something profound? Whoever is the god in your life is the one you dwell on more. So if you dwell on the enemy's attacks...he's lord. But if you consider everything that happens to be orchestrated by God, then HE's your LORD! Think on the things that are pure, lovely and of good report.
I love that you wrote on this. I am dealing with my frustrations and anxiety. I was one that kept all my anger in (talk about letting the sun go down - many, many suns).
I am thankful I am not where I used to be, but I am also not where I am going to be. I am a traveler.

I hope you're feeling better, JBR. The attacks of Satan may come more frequently as we get closer to freedom but what the devil uses for evil, God brings good out of. We are getting stronger spiritually each day and if we stay close to the King, the devil cannot really harm us. I love the fact that you've set your mind and heart on the goal- having a positive mindset and trusting the Lord weakens the devil's power. Great post, my friend!

Hi JBR...you are so right. When you start getting closer and closer to all the good things God has for you, satan attacks frequently and harder. He wants to keep you all bound up. I know because I have been there too. Just keep your head up and put that ole devil under your foot and grind him down in JESUS name!

It seemed like everytime we went to a woman's retreat for the weekend, which is where we got up close and personal with God, we would be attacked by Satan when we got home. I just keep praying to God to keep evil out of my way!
Hope you are feeling better soon. Yay for being set free! It certainly is a hard fought battle.
