Many of us give the appearance on the outside that we are cool, calm and collected.
A swan or duck look so peaceful and serene on top of water. Giving the appearance of not a care in the world. Moving about without any effort. Until you look underneath the surface and see their little feet paddling like crazy. You would never know such effort is going on below.
Sort of like our lives. Some of us wear masks to cover up our painful past. Giving the appearance everything is going smoothly on the surface. But below the surface there is so much turmoil.
That is how I was for many years. Until I became real and worked on some past issues. Each day the Lord is restoring what the devil took from me. And I am being set free! Hallelujah!

ReplyDeleteGreat analogy! I can't imagine how tired the swan's feet must be...Their own effort not accomplishing anything...except to float...It's good to be humbled to realize that without His help, we can't stay afloat amidst life's trials. God bless and strengthen you always JBR!
