"Yet a time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the
kind of worshipers the Father seeks." - John 4:23

My Heavenly Daddy is healing
me from the inside out.

Transparency is Real.
Many times painful.

Daddy let me be secure in You only!

"When there are wounds within your family, even if your family never heals...YOU can! YOU CAN! You've got to be the one to start something new!" - Beth Moore

I think I can honestly say that I am the first in "my family" on my way to healing. To Freedom! Sadly, I may be the only one though.

My earthly father has since passed and I do not believe he healed from his own pain. My older brother unfortunately took his life at 33 many years ago and for a fact I know he was living at times in his own hell. My other older brother is oblivious to the hurts of the world and lives in his own protected bubble. Then there is my mum..... Well, she I believe is blind to her own pain. Fear, control, denial overshadows her life.

My family senses something new in me. Questioning at times my different behavior. Sometimes I feel they are frighten and threatened by my change.

  1. It may frighten them at first, but they will eventually see the new you that is at peace, is healed, and is strong. How can they not but want that then for themselves?

  2. I also believe that you may be the first in your family not the only. Trusting God to restore all!

  3. All you can do is tell them you are healing. Pray for them but don't let them drag you back down. I am happy and hopeful that you will find joy.

  4. I know what you mean by this and can relate. Sometimes it's a bit difficult for others to not follow you on a path of healing, but we must go where we must go.

  5. May your loved ones see the power that is in you & for them to accept His love & forgiveness. May you always remain strong in His awesome power. God bless.

  6. You shall be a city on a hill...to shine the light of freedom and healing from wounds of yesterday...shing Jesus' love to all that look upon you....

  7. I'm sure they are.
    Change is so so hard,
    especially when someone
    is badly broken.
    Like a broken limb,
    any movement makes it scream
    in pain.
    But this is HEALING pain!
    And you're doing amazing:)
    cheering you on with love,

  8. HI JBR - there is a saying, "be the change you want the world to be". Or in your case here, "be the change you want your family to be". Hallelujah!
    Love gail

  9. I hope that they eventually come around and support you, but regardless, you are doing the right thing by developing the life you want for yourself! Safe hugs!

  10. Maybe, when the time is right, you will be able to witness to them and lead them in the direction of healing as well.

    Praying for you often,

  11. The changes in you may frighten them, JBR, but may be making them wonder at the same time. No doubt they are seeing the transformation in you and hopefully this will draw them to want healing too. Either way, I know you have the strength and courage to continue on your journey and that makes me glad! Praying for you!

  12. I think they are jealous of your change. It takes immence strength to break a family tradition of dysfunction.
