I have been healing more emotionally. Becoming freerer and less cautious and hidden.
For the past month or two, on occasion, a desire and question would rise in my Spirit to ask all of you.
"Would you like to know my first name?" Or are there some of you who are fond of JBR and would prefer not to know?
May be a silly request, but it would point to more of a healing aspect for me. Most my life I did not like my name.
So with that.....
"Would you all like to know my first name?"
Now, to make this a bit more interesting, and if the response is in favor of knowing who I am, before I reveal the real me in the next post or two, I would love to hear any guesses of my name......

ReplyDeleteWow...Your post has me thinking about why I prefer to leave my name off...it may be insecurity...I trust that in your case the Lord will speak to your heart, and you will do exactly what He tells you to do. Whatever your name is, God will give you a new one someday! Yeah!

ReplyDeleteSmiling, just the other morning in my prayer closet I was praying for you and I said, LORD bless JBR "Just Be Real" and I smiled b/c I thought He knows who JBR is, and the thought of you "just being real"....also....blessed me.....so YES YES YES ....though a name is not necessary for love and sisterhood to be about...but it does make it nice...! ReplyDeleteI like JBR. She is warm, comforting, knowing, touchy, tender, sensitive, compassionate, caring, reaches out, undestanding and laughs at heself. The only name I could guess is Matilda. But I like JBR.

ReplyDeleteNow, as for your name.....hmmmm....maybe Joy, Constance or Deborah. Joy for, well, the obvious....Constance, meaning - constant, loyal, comfortable. Or Deborah..as in the Word - She was a woman who knew her God and walked in great authority and anointing!
The main point here....There are many wonderful names (and yes I'd like to know yours) but the most wonderful identity in all eternity is Daughter of the King, Joint-heirs with Jesus, Royalty, Bride! Awesome isn't it!!!

ReplyDeleteYes,I would love to know your name,but its your choice to share or not. Want to know something...I am not fond of my own name and saying it feels weird to me at times,but I have no idea why :) It was very hard for me to share "me" on my blog for a long while. Does that make any sense at all ? :) The last few years it has been easier,as far as pictures,etc. I try to be as real and as honest as I can be with no pretenses as to what I share....although at times I have related something and right away questioned myself as to how in the world or why did I share that certain thing for all the world to see. Then there are other certain things that are still kept under lock and key about my life that I don't know when or if ever I can share them. Am I making any sense or I am just falling all over myself here? :) Whatever your name is I am sure it is beautiful....,but isn't it wonderful to know our names we bear here in the flesh isn't really who or what we are in Christ and one day he shall give us a "new name"...given by Christ himself...then we shall be like him. Whatever your name is the Lord knows it. It is up to you, when you feel comfortable enough, to tell your readers what it is.
