"Growth requires facing where you’re at so you can go to the next level." - Joyce Meyer

How are you in accepting where you are at presently on your journey? At times I can still find myself struggling in this area. Not as often though.

When I first seriously began dealing with my past, as much as I wanted to heal, I also did not want to face the pain....again!

My t. shared early on that there was a consolation. I was a survivor now. Not a victim any longer. Learning that the initial trauma I went through growing up was the worst part of my pain. Having that little piece of information, helped considerably for me to handle and face what pain I had to in order to get to the next level(s).

  1. Yes, you are a survivor now, JBR. And you are victorious in Christ!

By the way, I LOVE that song. We occasionally sing it during worship time at my church. Love the lyrics. They are so incredibly meaningful.

  2. Love that thought process...a survivor...also love that song. Many blessings Grace!

  4. I see you thriving. You have come so far!

    Love this song. Beautiful.

  5. JBR isn't it amazing when we get to the point we realize we are a survivor not a victim anymore. I am so please to hear you say that. Took me many years to get to that point and know I am worthy!! And My dear so are you!

  8. i have a hard time
    accepting myself
    exactly where i am.
i tend to want to chide myself
    for not being somewhere else.
    learning to be kind
    to myself
    is a major growth curve
    and i'm trusting the Lord
    to take me there.
    love and hugs to you
    exactly where you are:)

  9. You are a precious survivor.

  10. JBR, I wanted to thank you for the comment you left on my post-I'm Worn. It was a comfort and help to me. I also want to say this post helps to especially being reminded that there is no worse pain than what is already faced when enduring the initial trauma. JBR You are such an inspiration and you are definaetly a survivor who helps others. Safe Hugs to you.
