How are you in accepting where you are at presently on your journey? At times I can still find myself struggling in this area. Not as often though.
When I first seriously began dealing with my past, as much as I wanted to heal, I also did not want to face the pain....again!
My t. shared early on that there was a consolation. I was a survivor now. Not a victim any longer. Learning that the initial trauma I went through growing up was the worst part of my pain. Having that little piece of information, helped considerably for me to handle and face what pain I had to in order to get to the next level(s).
Yes, you are a survivor now, JBR. And you are victorious in Christ!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I LOVE that song. We occasionally sing it during worship time at my church. Love the lyrics. They are so incredibly meaningful.
Love that thought process...a survivor...also love that song. Many blessings Grace!
