"Yet a time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the
kind of worshipers the Father seeks." - John 4:23

My Heavenly Daddy is healing
me from the inside out.

Transparency is Real.
Many times painful.

Daddy let me be secure in You only!

HIDING PLACE

As I continue on in my journey, I am finding I still am very weak and broken. Some of my wounds from my past have healed, Glory be to God. But the stubborn deeper ones, relating to love, are still a painful work in progress.

At these times, while in wait, I try and seek comfort and hide in my Father's arms. The best I know how to. Confessing my brokeness and pain.

It is still hard to not compare the lack of my earthly father's concern and love for me growing up with my Heavenly Father's. But, that is where trust needs to prevail. Realizing my Daddy in Heaven has no ulterior motive.

Although I still struggle with how much my Heavenly Daddy loves me, I continue to believe and trust that His love is so rich and pure and that one day I will experience it!

This song has always ministered to me:

Early when the day is new
Before the stirring
I will come and talk to you
And confess the ways I am broken
To recall the words you've spoken
And to try to comprehend
The love you have for me

You are my hiding place
You fill my broken heart with songs
Songs of deliverance
You sing of how the weak are strong

You never meant for me to walk alone
You are always for me
As the truest lover of my soul
You hear my desperate calling
You have kept my feet from falling
And have set me on this rock on which I'm standing now

You are my hiding place
You fill my broken heart with songs
Songs of deliverance
You sing of how the weak are strong

And I believe you
For you've saved me from my darkness and my shame
And I believe you
For I hear your song of beauty through the pain

  1. I think there is such power in recognizing the struggle knowing that God does help us have victory! I love that He is our shelter, our strong tower, our safe hiding place. Enjoy that place with Him!

  2. You know, I have reminded myself that the "mystery of faith" will guide me through, and I place my trust in Him even in my doubtful moments..

  3. Just as in the natural some things take longer to heal, so it is in the heart. You are staying the curse, doing the right thing, and it is happening. That's a really lovely, anointed song-

  4. Beautiful song.
The journey is long and sometimes it is very rough and we just grow weary and it takes effort to just put one foot in front of the other. Hurt and sorrow from our past can be so weighty.
Look forward hon. Glance back every now and then but keep your focus forward, to where you are going. God does a new, fresh work every day. You cannot rely on yesterdays strength to get you through this day. He will provide fresh and new every single day.

    Hugs and love,

  7. When we do not have an earthly father who treats us properly as a father should it has such a negative impact, especially on our concept of what is meant by "father". I know God is the best father and true love but it is hard to trust in that when your only experience of fatherly love has been so negative. It leaves such a hole that no one can fill. I feel for you JBR and I can relate. Safe Hugs.

Nearly forgot to say that I have nominated your blog for some blog awards. Your blog helps so many particularly me JBR, I feel you deserve the awards. If you so wish you can check it out at my blog. God Bless.

  8. JBR, thanks for your visit to my blog.
I heard a priest once say that Abba - which is what Jesus called God - actually means Daddy or Papa. The thought of calling God Papa just made me feel so happy! I realized I have had a daddy all my life - God. And that helped me a lot. I hope it helps you too. :) Hugs.
