I heard someone use the phrase Splatter Barrel the other day. I believe it is a southern saying. I tried Googling it, to no avail. If anyone ever heard of this saying before let me know. Or maybe I misheard and it should be something different. It may have something to do with paintball splattering..... I do not know. Anyway, whatever the saying is, I gather the meaning that this person was using at the time had something to do with going from one topic to another. A mixed goings on all at once.
That is how this past week has been for me. A Splatter Barrel of the good and challenging.
My Boobutt (parakeet) continues to fight for healing of his body, as well as his master. Cockroaches still invade my home. Despite the thorough rebuke cleaning both verbally and chemically. I continue to grow closer to My Lord daily. I am plugged in to Him almost 24/7. My faith is seriously being switched on. WoW!
Then......there are the wonderful reminders how awesome God is in answering prayer. Rather quickly. When that happens I get excited because that shows me that my prayer was in alignment with His Will to come forth.
Referring to my last post where I prayed and asked the Lord to have a particular individual call me because I had such a heavy burden to pray for them in person. They did. But maybe you think, "that is no big deal." Well it is. If you have not heard from them in six months and know their reputation to brush you off. It then does become a Big deal!
It was interesting what led them to call me. They had a dream about me a week ago that left an impact on them. Same time my heart was impressed to ask the Lord for them to contact me first. They told me that they were apprehensive to call me because of our past turbulent relationship. But, was totally pleased to find out to let bygones be bygones.
It is neat how their dream and my heart's desire to pray for them connected. Only God!
I not only found out through my conversation and prayer with them, that God's purpose was also to show me just how much I have grown in these past six month. How "in-charge" I was with them. They even mentioned that they could not believe the 360 degree turn around in me and how very pleased they were! Not even sure they were speaking to the "real me." Oh yeah! I reassured them that they were speaking with the "real me." They liked it!
