HALLWAY PRAISE

While we wait for a breakthrough, whether financially, physically, emotionally, relationally, spiritually or all of the above, etc., we are told to praise God in the midst of our waiting.

Praising God when we are hurting is no easy task. Keep in mind you are not praising Him for the hurt/pain you are experiencing. You are praising Him for the answer and because of the deeper level and relationship with our Heavenly Daddy praise brings.

Believe you me, satan will undoubtedly try to stir you away from praising God. Praise allows us to defeat satan. Satan cannot stand our praise to the Almighty. The one that created not only ourselves, but satan. WoW! Praise is a powerful weapon!

We were created to praise Him. In James 4:8 it says,
"As we draw near to the Father in praise, He draws near to us."

These past few months I have been tried a lot. Let say I ran the gambit. I usually do not like to share much of my struggles and how bad it has been for me at times. So.......I am not even going to try and explain what I have gone through emotionally, physically and spiritually. Because in words I cannot!

What I can share though, is through my difficulties, having the opportunity to praise my Daddy in Heaven has brought assurance and comfort to my little girl's wounded spirit.

I would like this post to be of any encouragement to anyone who is struggling. Praise is "part" of your healing. There may be other "parts" the Lord is showing you in order for you to receive your "own" particular breakthrough. But, all in all, you can guarantee that praise will always play a role in our breakthroughs.

  6. Hi JBR,
yes, what a lovely way of putting 'the waiting time'. I believe absolutely in the power of praise, and have actually had a healing where praise was the final means of victory. Praise our lovely Lord.

  7. As I had been waiting with my own battle, He made me realize the importance of gathering strength (not my own)...His...Because we can use these trials as opportunities to truly rely on Him more and completely put our trust in His hands. Thank you for encouraging me and others. Praying that you will always remain strong in God's mighty power!

  8. I love this post. Everyone can relate to being in the hallway at times in their lives. I know for me as I try to figure out what Gods will is for me I still praise Him, for everything. We are indeed made to praise him so there doesn't have to be a reason, praise isn't suppose to be used as some sort of payment for His blessings. I like how you said we praise Him for the answer not for our current hurt and pain and worries. Great post. I love how your post are short and straight to the point and pack a punch. I would like to be able to do that, I think I'm a bit to wordy on my posts. I try to cut down but every time I do I end feeling something needs to be added. Awesome post, loved it. :-)

Oh, thanks for visiting my blog, greatly appreciated. :-)

  9. WELL WRITTEN JBR. I AGREE IT CAN BE HARD TO PRAISE GOD WHEN THINGS LOOK BAD. BUT I KNOW THAT PRAISING IS OUR LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST THE ENEMY. THIS POST HAD BEEN VERY ENCOURAGING FOR ME I WILL SHARE WITH MY INLAWS I THINK.

  12. We often wonder how we can praise when going through hard times. I think father God enables us to praise him in these times because unexpectedly praise bubbles up and words of a song about father God sings in our heads and suddenly we are joining in. There are days though where praise seems to have departed but not so, just waiting until our heart can be open again. Thank you for sharing. Blessings.

  14. believing, praising, being grateful, hopeful, all these we need as much as we need answers. or do we get the answers because of them? mmm, maybe so.
