I woke up this morning with the above title phrase going through my mind. I just chuckled and wondered why would I think of "Parachuting with God?" Am I suffering from the after affects of my migraine? What does this mean?
Is God showing or sharinig with me that nothing I do, He is not there with me? Through the good the bad and the ugly? Securing me that I am in His care and He is strapped right along with me wherever He leads and desires me to to go as I leap out in faith?
Dear JBR,
ReplyDeleteI Love this. It is exactly how I feel right now. I'm in the plane next to you, strapped in :)
Blessings,
Tammy
never jump from the plane without being strapped tightly to the parachute. God ensures the landing is the best one possible.
ReplyDeleteThis can be scary. Great picture. I believe God will see you through. Have a blessed day.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you suffered from a migraine? Don't you hate those? I do. I hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks all. Hanging on to God tightly!!!!
ReplyDeleteGod is the parachute!
ReplyDeleteBefore reading your post I was thinking, "What a great title!"
ReplyDeleteYes, keep holding on tightly, He is holding on tightly to you too.
ReplyDeleteJBR,
ReplyDeleteI am with you in the whole migraine thing and hope that you are feeling much better this morning. I too suffer from them immensly and lately I've gotten quite a few that have limited my activities.
I love your caption with the picture. I believe God is in everything we do, sometimes we just don't realize it when things seem to be going wrong. We think He has left us, but it is at those very times He has never been closer to us and if needed will carry us through when we think we can't go on any longer.

Being REAL, I love the term "Leap of Faith"...and guess I've been doing that occasionally. It is wonderful to know freedom, on whatever level.
ReplyDeletePeace!
It is wonderful to know He is with us even as we are leaping from planes.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see that you are growing in confidence. Thinking of you and how very strong you have been. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat first step is always the hardest no matter what it is.. Second step and so on and so on will get easier. May be bumps along the way....but easier to some degree with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteWe know how He works....it's not your hold that saves you, His does...That's a great picture and your post makes me ponder...Praying you're feeling okay now. God bless.
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your wonderful comments. My migraine has subsided. Usually can last a day and a half for me. I know others who can get them a lot worse! Thanks for your prayers!
ReplyDeleteThis reminded me of Lawn Chair Larry.
ReplyDeleteHe was first.
A guy named Couch did it in Oregon to Idaho later. But Lawn Chair Larry knew the art of living on the edge, I think??

Hangin onto Jesus is a necessity in my life! Would have it no other way. Good post and pic.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wake up with a phrase running through my head, like that. Usually it feels very profound. I've never been sure what the meaning is behind these messages, or even if there really is one, but I, too, find myself thinking about it all day long, and often find meaning behind it that is related to God, even if the message wasn't directly about God, as yours was.
ReplyDeleteI like the title of this post. I like the idea that God is the parachute when I jump into the unknown.
Baby steps.
ReplyDeleteAlways remember to take baby steps.
It'll get you where you want to go faster than you think.
Leaping in faith is like playing the stock market.
God is great, Life is good, but people are crazy.:)
We trust in God but we live in this world.
Stay grounded.
Good Luck.
