Been a very difficult week for me. I was not planning on being away so long from the blogging world, but I found it hard to blog. Even though I have been having a hard time emotionally, the Lord has shown me some things.
This song was sung last week at church which blessed and encouraged me.
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." (1 Peter 4:12-13)
JBR: Been worried about you since I knew you were having bad times. Hoping you get lifted up in spirit body and mind!
ReplyDeletethinking of you JBR! hope this too shall past soon and you will feel better! love.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful song. Sorry for your sorrow.
ReplyDeletePraying for you. ((HUGS))
I can't tell you the times I have sat at this computer SOBBING while this song would play on....Finding such comfort, such healing and such love while in the mire, the pit of despair and hopelessness.
ReplyDeleteThis week too has been extremely difficult. I've only been able to post at the blog because they were scheduled posts done before hand.
I can't pour my heart out at the blog right now, can't share what is going on. I can't talk about it much to anyone. Just crying out to God, and just trying not to completely lose myself in this pit....
Some time we have to hold on to Him for dear life. He is there with you no matter how you feel. I don't even pretend to understand some of what we go through, but I have to believe He is not going to leave us to do this alone.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you and hoping that your holiday was filled with His spirit. I am struggling with depression as well right now, but am finding some solace in His word. ((((jbr))))
ReplyDeleteAMEN! Great verse and much needed for me, today!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, hugs, and prayers,

Sometimes blogging needs to take a backseat when the going gets tough, JBR. It's good to hear from you, though! Praying that things will look up for you, my friend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteJBR good to see you again .Without God we're helpless. With Him nothing is impossible to us. If you are making a habit of sitting at Jesus' feet, then whatever God says to you, do it with confidence and without hesitation.
ReplyDeleteWorthwhile journeys begin with Powerful Moments with God. God Bless.
JBR,
ReplyDeleteSending hugs and support your way. Praying God will hold you in His tender care. (((JBR)))
Blessings,
Tammy

Everyday is indeed a battle of ups and downs. But if there's a hope you truly hold on no one can pull you entirely down.
ReplyDeleteBlogging was an escape for me before, too. But now I try to look at it as a frined to pour my heart out.Hoping there will be an anwser to my call.
Hold on,JBR!!You are not alone!
I'm sorry life has been difficult
ReplyDeletefor you....the holidays can make
family stuff so "in your face" and seem
to delay healing and progress.
But God.
Asking Him to bring restoration
quickly and to replenish your joy and energy
and hope and passion.
He is faithful,
even when it's dark.
Sending love and hugs, friend.
