Struggling. I could not stay for church today. Too much Christmas music and feeling out of place. Feel out of sorts. Do not do well during this time of year. Depressed.
Thank you everyone. I am ok. I may take a few days off from blogging though.

I so sorry. Jesus is there with you. I here if you need me. Hang in JBR. You are loved.
ReplyDeleteYou are in my thoughts and prayers JBR...I'm sorry that you're struggling. God bless you with peace and joy this Christmas.
ReplyDeleteJBR, I know how you feel. I am still working on those feelings about the holidays. It helps me to concentrate on Jesus and not the sad memories of my past.
ReplyDeleteI keep you in my prayers that your heart will be at peace. Stay in the place of love. This too shall pass.
Peace and love,
Pam
JBR: There with you - not so depressed as out of synch with the season!
ReplyDeleteThe holidays can be rough on people. May Jesus bring you peace and comfort, JBR.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about that. ((HUGS)) Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand your struggle to well JBR. Traditionally, Christmas is a time for family. What does that mean for those of us who have a difficult time relating to our relatives? Children can be especially affected by these heightened expectations of having the perfect family, especially if they are part of a family that has been affected by divorce, death or remarriage. In your bio I read that you've been affected by such. You know JBR you can ask yourself if you really do have to live up to an imaginary ideal of the perfect family. The truth is that no family is perfect, even if they seem that way from the outside. JBR you can choose the way you want to celebrate the holidays. If you choose to celebrate Christmas with your friends instead of with family members who put you down then you should do it. Hurting along with you. But we do have a choice.

ReplyDeleteCan I just say that I feel the same way? I've not been able to bring myself to church these last 6 months, although I have conversation with God all the time..
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your pain, JBR! This year is hard for me, too.
ReplyDeleteJBR, I'm so sorry. The thing is that you are not alone. I know you do have a difficulty with accepting other peoples friendships. Don't forget though your little bird. It doesn't matter he is a bird and not a person. He is your friend. He is there for you and you are there for him (and he is gorgeous :-) Look at the nature. Every tree every stone has a spirit ... and they are all there for you if you open your eyes wide and if you listen with your heart ... you are not alone ... sending lots of love your way!!!
ReplyDeleteJBR I once heard an expression that depression is the common cold of the mind. I think by us coming here encouraging you with hope and continual reassurance that the depression will not always be there, you'll pull through. I leave with an encouraging message to remember that many of David's Psalms begin in great depression but they end with "I will trust in God". Depression dims our perspective of how God is working in our lives. JBR I know you're trusting God. Continue to do so in order to win over the depression. God can take your dark night of the soul and transform it into great spiritual growth and commitment. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteI so understand.
ReplyDeleteIt's been one of those
dark nights for my soul,
too.
Sending love and hugs
and huge hope for
fresh wings and a light heart.

Don't socialize with people. Just enjoy the music and talk to God. He's there, holding your hand. Look at Him.
ReplyDelete(((JBR))), like always..wherever you are...you're not alone.
ReplyDelete(((JBR)))

Praying for you to break through. God isn't the author of depression. He loves you. ?Remember that.
ReplyDeleteThis is so true with what Harley has said! And I will pray for you too, and I would love if you pray for me also! I find for myself it is best for me to look forward by putting my eyes upon Jesus Christ, because when I start looking back I get depressed as well.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless you!!! Jesus loves you!!!
From a brother in Christ!!!
