BLOOMING CONTENTLY

I am at a place where contentment can be difficult. Desiring added fertilizer to rush the process of eliminating lies of my past that made me feel unloved and worthless. But, I could miss out on something that God wants to show me in my haste. So, I am constantly reminded of being content where God has me blooming:

"We do not have to be extraordinary to be worthwhile or to be used of God. It is a challenge for some of us to be content with the natural beauty inherent in living an ordinary day or doing an ordinary task. Our silent obsession is proving to others (and ourselves) that we are worthy of existence. Learning to appreciate the calm satisfaction of being the fragrance of Christ to God is possible. We need to remind ourselves daily that, like the obscure white flowers, we please God when we bloom contentedly where we are."

  2. I was just asking Him where He wants me to go from here as it deeply saddens me to know the mess &corruption from work. But one thing is for sure...I wouldn't be able to bloom &grow more if my roots are not rooted deeply in His ground of love. That is my contentment knowing He is truly our All in all! Thanks for encouraging me. Be strong in His mighty power!

  6. I sometimes used to feel that housework was such a waste of my time and boring. But I realized it is important work that God has given me to do and I should rejoice in it. My husband comes home from a day at work to a clean house and food cooked for him. While not extraordinary, it is part of God's plan for my life.

  7. GREAT reminder! Thank you for this.

I think I might add this to my refrigerator or at least print it out and put it somewhere where I can easily access it when needed.
