BOO - ZEB

It has been awhile since I updated you on my birds. Boobutt [Boo 2 yrs.], my parakeet, has been under the weather for the past few days. Although he is much better today and is talking (chirping) a bit more. When he is not feeling well (like us humans) he does not talk and is grumpy.

The picture is of he and Zeb. My 23 year old cockatiel. The photo captures a rare moment where Boo is literally leaving Zeb alone. As Boo can be a nuisance wanting to play constantly. It is not in a cockatiel's nature to be as zealous in playing with a very excited parakeet. But, Zeb senses Boo not feeling well. So he has been giving him his space.

In the photo above, you will notice Boo's head set back in his feathers. This is a position of sleep for most birds. They nuzzle their heads in their shoulder wings.

Boo has been sleeping most of the time these past few days. Resting. Regaining his strength.

“But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea tell you. Every one of these knows that the hand of the Lord has done this. The life of every creature and the breath of all people are in God’s hand.” - Job 12:7-10

  4. How cute! We had a bird like Zeb when I was a kid. His name was Mr. D, and he used to sit on my shoulder all the time. Hope they feel better.

  5. Your birds are pretty. We can learn a lot from animals, I think. I hope Boo feels better soon. Enjoy your weekend, Grace. :)

  6. You never told me what to call you my sister in Christ, beautiful Grace!

This is an adorable post. Absolutely love it. Animals are so precious. And I don't think God gave us domain over the animals to sit and be kings over them, but that He knew they were simpler beings and needed us to care for them, the way He cares for us. Thanks for the AWWW! Moment.

    Blessings with hugs,
    Manda

  7. Your birds are so pretty! I hope Boobutt (lol on the name) feels better soon. I think you and I are the only people who name their pets Zeb. Sadly, my Zeb died shortly before we moved. I really miss him.

    God bless you my friend!
