BUILD UP

Our journey's can be very painful and discouraging at times. Satan would like nothing better to see us in emotional and physical pain. Even unto death. He is such a destructive force. He is out to rob us of our joy. Suck the very life out of us!

God knowing all the ploys of the evil one has set precautions for His children. Where we can build one another up in faith. Take back our joy! Pray for one another. Be a listening ear. Shed some tears. Be a comforting hug.

Emotional trauma drains people of their energy. But the Word says, “Be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold” (Nehemiah 8:10).

The devil wants to steal your joy because he knows that joy is your strength. He wants you to be weak so that you won’t resist the turmoil he sets against you. That is why sometimes we need each other. Some days God will send messengers to build you up in faith and renew your joy. Some days He will send you to someone else who is in a weakened condition because Satan has been pounding on them.

Be someone’s friend today. They may need a friend to stand beside them and encourage them and to lift them up and pray for them. - Joyce Meyer

  4. Wonderful post! Been thinking about this very thing all weekend. I'm always advising people not to let anyone steal their joy. I thought I made that up, but lately I've read that phrase often. Ha! Well, wherever it came from, it is very true.

  6. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may become mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you!"

PRAISE THE LORD that no matter what we go through....no matter what trials we face, He is ALWAYS THERE, giving us the strength we need!

I have missed you, my friend ~ I hope you are doing well!

    Blessings~

  7. Thank you for challenging us to shelter those who are hurting. I don't want the devil to have my joy! And I want to help others to retain their joy. Lover the Meyer quote.

  8. Great post, Grace! We are all in this together and it's nice to read words like these. Satan is definitely a joy thief and his attacks can be brutal. Thankfully, God brings good out of it and we come out stronger in the long run.
    God bless!

  11. Love these words! Even when we feel like our lives are crumbling around us, we can find joy in our eternal relationship with our Creator! Our joy is one of the most powerful weapons we have against the enemy; it’s a great source of strength that God has given us. :)

    Blessings and JOY!

  15. Hon,
You have joy in the Lord because of what is waiting for you in eternity. We will go through all these hardships but even though you must go through them they cannot rob you of the joy God has for you with Him. Think on that when you are down and sad or angry. Think about heaven and what is waiting for you, then when you go through all of this stuff, you will be able to be joyful.

    Praying for you.
