SURRENDER

Our purpose in Christ can over ride our pain.

The peace we so desire in our lives, only surrendering to our Heavenly Daddy will bring it on.

  1. The Love of Christ also can over ride our pain; with or without purpose. I have seen totally disabled people have reduced pain just by a loving word. It is not in our ability or purpose but in Christ alone, with or without purpose. When I was told I had no purpose in life that was of little value or could not gain my financially independence, such recrimination seems easier for others than to provide assistance. If I had to find my value in purpose or anything so temporal, I might have committed suicide; even knowing it would have displeased God and I could not have repented of it if I was successful.

When we put value on temporal things they crumble, it is the eternal things, which hold us up when nothing else can. Christ alone, rather we have perceived value or not, rather we have perceived purpose or not. Just because God created us and at times, He ask us to, be still and know He is God, do nothing, just be still.

This is not avocation for laziness, but simply when we have done all, to stand and allow God to just be God and us to just be. As one disabled person told me, we are human beings, not human doings. God bless you with the joy of just being.

  3. Hi JBR,
sometimes we can miss the simplicity in Christ. The Holy Spirit is sent to both comfort and counsel, and He will speak a word to us in season whatever our need may be. In the world we will have tribulation, in Jesus we have peace. His word has been proved to me to bring relief from both physical and spiritual pain. The more we seek Him the more we shall find Him and learn to trust the word He speaks to us. Try to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ and try to take no thought for tomorrow, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD, and your mind will gradually be renewed in Him.
