"Yet a time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the
kind of worshipers the Father seeks." - John 4:23

MASTER PROBLEM SOLVER

When you think you are safe from the unexpected; you are not.

When you think nothing else can go wrong; some how something does.

Without even having time to catch your breath from a previous problem, you find yourself faced with yet another situation of concern the world has dealt you.

Feeling crushed, at loss, possibly defeated.

In your limited capacity you can feebly try to fix the problem yourself. Or fix your eyes on the Master Problem Solver relying on what He has to show you.

Today's Jesus Calling has called me!

How about you?

Jesus Calling - Sarah Young

Problems are part of life. They are inescapable: woven into the very fabric of this fallen world. You tend to go into problem-solving mode all too readily, acting as if you have the capacity to fix everything. This is a habitual response, so automatic that it bypasses your conscious thinking.   Not only does this habit frustrate you, it also distances you from Me.

Do not let fixing things be your top priority. You are ever so limited in your capacity to correct all that is wrong in the world around you. Don't weigh yourself down with responsibilities that are not your own. Instead, make your relationship with Me your primary concern. Talk with Me about whatever is on your mind, seeking My perspective on the situation. Rather than trying to fix everything that comes to your attention, ask Me to show you what is truly important. Remember that you are en route to heaven, and let your problems fade in the Light of eternity.

  1. Hi JBR,
Funny thing, this morning I was actually thinking about how often I choose to try to solve my problems without calling upon the "Master Problem Solver." Thank you for sharing and God bless,
    Ken

  2. Wonderful words today; love this devotional out of Jesus Calling (now I won't have to open my book and read it today-ha!) We must be inspired to deepen our relationship and dependence on God instead of relying on ourselves to figure it all out! :)

Blessings sister; have a great weekend,
    Denise
