STRETCH MARKS

"I don’t know what it is that God has in store for you, but I know this: IT’S GONNA BE A STRETCH" - Beth Moore

If I am totally honest here, I do not care to read the words, "It's Gonna Be A Stretch" for me with whatever God has planned for my life.

Do not get me wrong, I know the only way I can grow in God and with God is to be stretched. Coming out of my comfort zone even more.

Emotionally and physically I am tired. I am up one minute, down the next. I do not know if I am coming or going.

Dealing these past couple of weeks with erratic hormones (menopause), which leaves me depressed, aching, anxious, irritable, fearful, skeptical and in the mix of it all finding out that I still have issues of un-forgiveness in my heart does not help matters.

Sorry for the rant. Part of the imbalance and need to vent.

  1. It's okay, rant all you want. I've been an emotional roller coaster lately too. ((HUGS))

  3. Lost my comfort zone years ago and was forced to go on without it..... long story.....
If I happen to see it again I probably won't recognize it.....
I'm now thinkin' that might be a good thing.....
    Blessings!

  4. Letting it out is medicinal...God does stretch us, but it is His Spirit that makes us flexible in the stretch.

  5. I can relate. Don't you feel like crying out toward Heaven and ask for a reprieve? Sending you loving thoughts!

  6. Ranting is okay among friends :) Makes us feel better sometimes...lol. My emotions are up and down due to hormones too. I just don't feel like myself since my hormone levels started fluctuating. I used to be able to stay on a very even keel emotionally but now I'm all over the place.

I'm praying for you, Grace. God will get us through this time :) God bless.

  7. I hope you feel better soon. It's a difficult phase of life, but you can get through it. Take it easy on yourself and take care of yourself. Put yourself first and treat yourself to things you enjoy.

  8. Typical for us women, but don't worry. It Will come to pass. Try maling yourself busy with things you like doing, so that you won't be depressed. Relax and enjoy life. Count your blessings and you Will see that life is good after all.

JBR sorry your hormones are getting in the way of your every day life. The Devil and life will find some way to distract you. Keep in mind God sees the picture. He knows your circumstances and won't expect some thing you're whole body is not ready for yet. Don't panic but rest in his timing. God Bless.

  11. I think venting out is helpful in that it keeps the pressure inside from going higher...

I pray you will always be strong in His power! Take care JBR!

  12. You can always vent here. You are loved.

  13. Everyone needs to vent every once in a while. Feel free to vent and do whatever you need to free yourself! I'm sorry that you are experiencing so many highs and lows. Thinking of you and praying that your emotions stabilize soon. I actually think venting and letting it all out helps achieve stabilization, so fire away! :) Much love, JBR!

    in all the uncomfortable stretching.
(i've got some fresh stretch marks on my heart

I wonder if the Lord thinks our stretch marks
    are beautiful.
    I just bet he does:)

  17. Start by being gentle with yourself, and taking care of yourself physically. Yes, you are going to be stretched, but you are able to get through anything ... I know this to be true of you :0)

    Thinking of you ...

  18. JBR, hang in there sweety. I am starting to face the same hormonal changes. On some days it's so bad I can't even stand my self! lol Instead of waiting for God to "stretch" you....replace the thought by thinking that God is "molding" you. He does day after day. Hope you are doing well.

  19. As a fellow journeyer who is also being stretched, I understand what you are talking about. And my prayers are with, JBR. God is molding you into something beautiful.

  21. Hello dear friend. Thinking of you today and decided to stop by and say hello. Glad I did :).
I'm taking a deep breath for you, breathing right along with you sister of mine and praying for you.

"The Love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell. Oh...the love of God how rich and pure, how measureless and strong."

This is the song that just came to me right now. His love is so measureless for you and my prayer is that you will rest in His Love these next days to come. xoxo
