RUNNING ON EMPTY
Even though I may not have a lot to say in this post, I probably do just by saying I do not.
Often when I most want to "speak" is when I go silent for it's when I most fear making myself vulnerable. Also, I think we sometimes become emotionally drained where it seems we can't feel anymore. Please don't let it distress you too terribly.
This is understandable. Sometimes the body, mind and soul needs to reguivinate, especially when experiencing traumatic events. Take it easy if you can. This is perfectly normal. Your not alone in this.
Brain numbing exhaustion. This is when the body and mind shut down and take time to build up reserves again. Take the time out to just be, and in time , the reserves will be back and you can then continue. Hugs
"Everyone I know, everywhere I go People need some reason to believe I dont know about anyone but me If it takes all night, that'll be all right If I can get you to smile before I leave
Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels I don't know how to tell you all just how crazy this life feels I look around for the friends that I used to turn to to pull me through Looking into their eyes I see them running too
Running on - running on empty Running on - running blind Running on - running into the sun But Im running behind" - Jackson Browne
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul ... Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me, your rod and staff comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever" (Psalm 23).
JBR, You might feel that your emotions are empty, but your support is so full! Let all of us feel for you, share emotional support for you, until you get yours back.
I am so sorry, tho that you are experiencing this, it is so difficult and draining. And, yes, you said a lot.
You are so supportive of others, JBR, and thank you for that! But don't overdo it, take time out for yourself this weekend. Hugs to you, friend xx
ReplyDeleteDearest, please be kind to yourself and give yourself a brake. Relaxing and recovering from the pain one went through is part of recovery too. HUGS

It sounds like you've had a rough couple of weeks. Anger in particular can be draining. I wish you a healing and energizing weekend!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am not meaning to just throw scripture at you and say…be comforted…I just want you to feel the love of the Lord.
I truly want to be of comfort...but am not sure how to be.
Romans 12:15
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
Psalm 121
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.
The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
♥Hope
Here's something for you:

I pray that God will pick you up, and fill you to overflowing sweetie.
ReplyDeleteThere's always a hand to help you out of the deepest pit. No pit is so deep that God cannot rescue you from.
ReplyDeleteNo matter the pain your experiencing now if you keep trusting God He will get you through.
Rest not only in sleep, but in Him.
