HITTING MY KNEES

The first part of this morning after waking up and doing my regular routine of praying and confessing to giving this day to the Lord, I was feeling pretty good. Then after a while, I started noticing the aggitation and the rawness of my mood start to build up in me. I cannot pin-point anything that set me off. It is just a plain evil attack from the enemy. I have no "responsibility" to worry about these next few days since I am off, so there is no pressure coming from that end.

So, in times like these, I hit my knees before my God, once again begging for Him to take away the oppression that is so evident and to fill me with His peace and the love that He does so offer and that I long for.

  2. I know we're in a battle but sometimes I hate that some of us struggle so much just to live at peace each day. But I'm also thankful God is an anchor and His spirit is an amazing strength. Can't imagine life without Him. I love that you know that too. Have a totally peaceful day, all day. Sarah

  6. It is a very great thing to get praying into your daily routine. It is a pity that now a days the thought of praying is vanishing. It is very nice of you to post about the almighty.
I am feeling the presence of God more than ever after reading your post.
    Cheers!

Satan will try and get a toe hole anywhere in the believers life. Keep professing Christ and he will see you through.

And He will…He is our strength and shield.

    Psalm 119:114
Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.

    Psalm 115:11
Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield.

    Psalm 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

    Isaiah 59:19
So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

Thank you for your encouragement to me.
I will be praying for your comfort today.

  18. God will do for me what I cannot do for myself--and He does, and He did--many times from early life to now
And as "onthewaynow" put it, God WILL keep safe from all harm, a true and honest heart.

I am not judged by God until the moment of my final breath--and then only by the love which I AM...or am NOT......I think!

And God ALWAYS hears the cry of a hurting soul, one which is judged harshly or wrongly. Also a soul which has lost hope--that's where God can REALLY be found. That's where our Twelfth Step is so important.

  22. I am praying for you right now! Sometimes the best piece of advice I have received is that I tell myself when I find myself in your situation, is that I will not let the enemy steal my joy! I will then go out of my way to find joy in God and keep dwelling in that place.

I visualize a picture much like a parent covering their ears while a teen plays really loud music they don't like. Ah a smile is born!

  26. Linda welcome! Yes, hugging a Bible is very comforting to me these days. Stuffed animals will come later, I suppose.

IK, I quite agree with the emotional attacks being horrid! I really do hate them.

Despite the emotional attacks, if I continue to focus on my true source of strength, I will prevail with the aid of prayer!

Connie and H2H, so much appreciated your immediate prayers as I had some really ups and downs of a battle going on today.

Colleen, thank you for sharing your post. I did go over and read it and appreciated it very much. Thank you!

Tola, thank you for the scripture verse.

  28. Absolutely! That's what I do before I go to work, each day. In that world of power and greed, people attack me just for nothing. Today, it was because I had a locker and someone else didn't. It started because I offered to share. Can you imagine?

Today I was in a frenzy looking for my "The Book". It had been placed for safe keeping during a move and I forgot where I placed it. I'm having a white knuckle day today and needed the book. So I grab my hazelden and read today passage. Grab a popsicle and cleared my head. I said, to be truthful, a half hearted prayer as teh the other half was trying to figure out where oh where did I place my book. By the end of the popsicle, I found it. Thank you God!

I too am frazzled right now and I'm trying to figure out what has me aggitated. Maybe it's just my turn today.
