"Yet a time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the
kind of worshipers the Father seeks." - John 4:23

The little guy in this picture ready to become a meal represents the struggle "to not to give up." When I saw this picture, I see so much how that gekko wants to survive another day. I know recovery can certainly be hard on many of us that all we are trying to do is survive another day.

This past week has really been rough for me and so many times I just wanted to give up! Exhaustion gets the better of me it seems and I feel defenseless. I ache in every conceivable part of my body for months now. Hard for me to even pray to God during these time as I am so emtionally and physically drained. Some times I wonder if I can go on. I am just so tired of having to go through the process of healing.

Then after a few days I regain some of my stamina and continue on my journey.

  1. Sweetie, God loves you so much. When you are so tired, and feel like you cannot even pray, He hears the prayer of your heart. Asking Him to pour His strength all over your life.

  2. What a wonderful message -- never give up. I think the little guy gets away, huh?

  3. There is a fine art to knowing when to scratch and when to just leave the scab the hell alone. It is a slow learning curve. Never stop learning kiddo.

  4. Hugs, never give up, couldnt be any clearer. But sometimes giving yourself a break, would be good to recharge emotional batteries. Love

  5. More bear hugs. You are a fighter.
    God Bless.

  6. Hard for you to pray, yes. And that's why we pray for you so you can concentrate on the going through and our prayers can help you. Are you planning to do anything fun this weekend? I really like that picture. It's perfect for your blog today. :)

  7. I've been through that once. I couyldn't pray, couldn't think, couldn't write, could hardly talk. Keep the faith, girl. There's no other way!

  8. Struggling is a every day occurrence. It's how you handle your struggle that matters. God is with you. He will get you through. Cute picture says alot. God Bless.

  9. Hi JBR,
Your picture made me laugh. I have had that kind of week, too.

  10. Sounds like you're walking in the right direction even though the road is long. You will get there and have an amazing story to tell.

  11. Haha, reminds me of the cartoon of a frog strangling a stork to avoid being eaten!

  12. Praying for GOD's strength to fill your being. Blessings, andrea

  13. I've been following your blog for a few days now. I'm male but can also relate as well to the abuse. My father was physically beating me up when grownibng up but called it play time. Verbally being abused was second nature to me from both my parents who coudln't stand one anttother and eventually divorced,. My children now do not see any of the abuse that was passed down by my parents to me. I refuse to give in th to it.

  14. That picture is so inspiring....Do not ever give up!

  15. This picture is the BOMB!! I shall print it and hang it. Just as a quirk jerk reminder. I too live with constant pain. I have to divert my thoughts or write about them (my blog) to be able to get on with other things.

Just hang in there! Hugs. Tammy

  16. JBR,

Sometimes just getting through those days of healing can seem so overwhelming but with God's help anything is possible. Just make sure that you, are getting your physical as well as your spiritual rest as well.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  17. I will pray for you! Try to take some rest!
I am sorry to hear your friend behaved like a kitten, a dog would have been more appropriate;-)
    Safe hugs and blessings

  18. Hang in there...Fight...with God's weapons...God bless you.

  19. Sometimes, when my suffering gets unbearable,I go with Jesus to the Garden of Gethsemane, lean my head against His and just suffer with Him. Uniting your exhaustion and suffering with His is a great prayer indeed.

  20. You are so strong. It is always inspiring to read your posts. I know it is so hard sometimes, but you will one day come out the other side of this hell. I hope that day is near for you.
