I bought me one of those full length body pillows the other night. I desire something to snuggle up to now! A teddy bear cannot cut it for me as of yet. This pillow is almost as long as I.
The first night, I kept on thinking I had someone else in the bed with me. Scared me silly. Have to get used to that!
But, it felt good to have something to wrap my arms around and draw close to me, especially during my times of pain.
God comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When others are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. Good that you are finding comfort in your pillow along with Gods assurance of his comfort for you as well.
ReplyDeleteMe too, can't sleep without hugging a pillow, unless I am dog-tired. Bless you and sweet dreams JBR.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI purchased something similar only last week. They are truly huggable. Hope it helps in your struggles. Barb
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thanks for poppin' in and leaving your sweet comment. When Hubby was trucking I stacked his side of the bed with pillows and even slept with his tee shirt. I was the only way I could get a little shut eye.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful weekend and in the words of Granny Clampett, "ya'll come back now, ya hear!"
You are precious. Wish we could all get you in a room and give you a hug. You've got a great future ahead of you. I just have a feeling.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. I'm learning more about you by your writings. The honesty and pain you share is so real. I guess that's why you titled your blog as you did. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!

ReplyDeleteThat sounds so comforting...I bought one long time ago and used it to keep my son from falling from his bed when he was little. Take care JBR and God bless.

Hey JBR, stay safe, ok. I'm praying for you and know this, He's got you right smack in the palm of His hands and He ain't letting go. How's that for comfort???? Sarah
ReplyDeleteGirl, I purchased one of those right after I had my hernia surgery and it was the most comfort I have ever felt. Just for fun, give it a name! :o)
ReplyDeletei will have to look into buying one, i have arthritis in my back and haven't slept in my bed in over a year.
ReplyDeleteI truly pray that one day your comfort will be so natural for you JBR. You deserve every bit of it.
ReplyDeleteI know this might sound silly......but when I am in need of His true comfort.....I hug my pillow tight and imagine I am hugging the hem of his garment and/or am at His feet. I bring myself to a place in my mind where I feel His presence surround me and the grace/comfort pours over me.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure of your struggles and pain,.....but I can tell you could use some prayer and I will lift you up tonight.
Thanks for popping in my world with your sweet words.

{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}} I latch on to my hubs at night til I can no longer lay on that side. Then I turn. It's not 5 minutes before he latches on to me!! There is something to be said for "safe snuggling". Hugs to you today. Tammy
ReplyDeleteJBR, I have read several posts on your blog today and I have to say I have seen myself in so many of them. I am beginning to sense an understanding of self, my actions and behaviors. Thank you dear, you are certainly blessed. Peace be with you and sleep well. *Hugs*
ReplyDeleteSounds cosy! Glad its able to give you some comfort too.
ReplyDeleteWhen my wife and kids go overseas to visit her side of the family, I sleep on the sofa and snuggle against the sofa's back. I can't stand sleeping in an empty bed.
Oh I feel you! I have one like that, too, and I make sure it's always near my reach whenever in bed.^^
ReplyDeleteComfort from a feather. Mold it to your dreams kiddo and sleep the dreamless sleep of the contented.
ReplyDeleteSounds comforting and whatever helps to make you feel better. Bless you
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThose pillows are great. I need one for me too.
ReplyDeleteIf I wasn't used to sleeping with a pillow like that, it would scare me too.
