WHEN CAN I TRADE IN MY MIND, BODY AND SOUL?

Being human at times is down right hard, exhausting, frustrating, and painful, especially when we try and carry the weight of the world on our shoulders despite knowing we have a Savior who has already taken care of this.

  1. We keep trying to carry this excess baggage when it is unnecessary. We forget or try to do it ourselves when we have a loving Heavenly Father who is just waiting to take it off our hands. All HE wants is for us to give it to Him. It is so simple, yet we "all" seem to struggle with giving up and leaving it in HIS hands!
Much love, hugs, and prayers, andrea

  2. You can trade in the mind and body anytime... but the soul is yours to keep. It is perfect and will always be safe no matter what happens to your mind and body.

When I am having a hard time with the physical world, I try to remember this phrase:
    I am spirit.
when I do that I know I am safe and the issues out in the real world will one day pass, but the essense of me will never be harmed or changed.

  6. Jesus tells us to "Come to Me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light". Matt 11:28-30. We trade our horrid burdens for Jesus' burden. JBR, your "burden" of sharing yourself in this blog your gift and ours!

  7. I'm saying! Here He bore the cross for us and what do we do. We take those burdens and strap 'em on like a pack mule and lug the dead weight things around!!! We just are the brightest crayon in the box are we???

Ya'll have a fantastically blessed day turning those burdens over the the Lord. :o)

  9. Odd isn't it how the truly empathetical and compassionate can feel a weight that is not theirs to carry? Shrug your shoulders and empty them of the things that are not yours to carry. You are getting to the spiritual place you desire to be kiddo, no body, mind or soul exchange is necessary.

  11. We are stubborn, going back to old habits once in a while when we already know, like what you said, that He already took care of this weight...May God help us!!! Take care JBR!

  12. Part of my baggage was worrying about what other people think of me. Isn't that ridiculous? When I realized what I was doing, I immediately dropped the bag. Now I only care about what God thinks.

    Have a blessed weekend!

  13. The name of your blog just so ressonated with me. Life is so hard.. In my own season right now and GOD is teaching me and I am not getting this lesson of letting him carry the burden! It aint mine to carry.

Oh how much I need him.. He is my everything!

  14. Being of a stubborn nature more readily than a give in nature... I relate to this post. I am the little ant. Keep on carrying loads rather than reaching out and up and asking for help. THat is not to say I don't reach up, just don't usually ask for help for myself. I wish I much more giving of my troubles. I usually just talk them out on a keyboard. I need to reach up more and learn to let God help-me.
    Hugs
    Tammy
