HAPPY WORMS

Today's t. session proved to be a definite eye opener for me! Not gonna be easy with what I have to deal with at present.

My t. sees me as a broken winged little bird. A broken winged bird, that is needy. And that it is okay to be needy. Lay in my birdie hospital bed. Not worry what other birds are doing flying about. Not worry to have a bird plan or to be in bird control. Just let God take care of me, feed me my happy worms. Satisfy my tummy. Surrender! Just Be!

Okay, all that being said. I went on to say, "What is the plan?" "How must I respond while laying in bed?" "Why can't I perform and be like all my other feathered friends??" "Why, why why or chirp, chirp cheep, cheep?"

Ain't your plan was repeated to my "bird brain!" Plan again is..... Need rest. Need healing. Need to surrender. Need my wings healed. Need to eat my happy worms. And the biggest need now is to be able to accept God's love into my heart. To be able to believe it.

Above picture.
I envision
Jesus lovin' on me.

My dear bloggie friends, when I read your words to me, yes I am very touched. But, I must admit, since I am a broken fowl, it is very hard for me to accept your love and compassion! It has always been this way. I am not good at receiving! Just another piece of the pie to my healing as I lay in ICU, a/k/a 'God Sees Me,' and just receiving what God has to offer me. What you all have to offer me.

At this particular time, I ask that if any of you would like to come along side of me in prayer as I recover my brokenness, I warmly welcome it.

  2. i had a 't' session tonight as well. i did not like it, i did not like what i heard. i am still very raw with my emotions right now. our counselor tells us not to talk about this until 24 hours, wait for the dust to settle. my feathers are pretty ruffled right now and there is no settling of dust in the near future.
i will borrow your prayer and ask the god of my understanding to feed me happy worms too. take care of you, i love reading your thoughts. it really helps

  3. I am sorry I have not been here in quite a few days with holiday etc. I am with you in spirit and in prayer always. You are such a supportive friend for me. It is hard for me to accept compassion and warmth as well. But you really dish out the kindness to us and I thank you! God bless!

  7. I believe in miracles. Some miracles happen in a sudden moment. Most miracles seem to happen over a longer period of time.

Patience, prayer, persistence are my words for you.

I continue to pray for you.

  9. For me I just had to come to the place of accepting my broken ME and when I did that I started to heal and feel love for myself. I am hoping for you. I believe one day you'll see when those wings are mended and there is only a tiny scar left that the scar is not a reminder of what once hurt, but what is now healed.

  11. I've been where you are, honey, and I join you in your prayers for healing. I talked about my pain and sorrow with my pastor, at the time when it was deep and dark. She said, Rest in your broken-ness. Underneath you are the abiding arms of the Master, who knows our sorrows and has compassion on our griefs.
In your honesty about your struggle, you are touching many lives who need to know they are not alone. You are blessed as well as a blessing. This your broken-ness,too shall pass. As my AA sponsor says, It came to pass, it doesn't come to stay.

  16. "Look at the birds in the sky. They do not plant or harvest; they gather nothing into barns. Yet your Father provides for them. Consider the lilies of the field. Solomon in all his glory was not clothed as beautifully as they are. Will not God provide for you also? Do not worry about what you will eat or drink, or what you will wear. Your Father knows what you need. Seek first the kingdom of God, and everything else you need will be given to you."
    Matthew 6: 26-33

  22. It is hard to receive love when we don't know what it is. I realized that I did not really know what it felt like, how to give it. As God's love for me is becoming more real to me, accepting love is easier. Sitting in his arms, listening to his words of love for you is a necessary thing. Until we know in our hearts, not just our heads of his unconditional love and acceptance of us now, it is hard for us to love.

"We love because he loved first"

We can love because of his love for us.

Soak it up!!! He so loves you!!!

  24. I just wrote a comment on another blog about self care.
Why is it the hardest thing in the world to take care of ourselves? I would go way out of my way, push through illness, give up more than I had, to help someone else, but when it comes to taking care of myself I am wracked with guilt and feelings of inadequacy.

I wish I had a good answer to why this is. I have probably heard the phrase "be gentle with yourself" a thousand times in the last few years... but that is still my message to you. Be gently, accept what is, and love yourself - because you're worth it.

    peace
