BLOGGING THROUGH THICK and THIN

This picture is how I feel.

As I go through my journey, when it is really painful, I want to retreat. I shared in past posts, blogging become hard for me then.

But, knowing blogging is probably one of the therapeutic avenues to take when I am hurting really bad, to get my pain out in order to help with my healing process, I believe I would benefit from it. Even if it is only to blog one line. At least I blogged. I shared. One line of pain, if that was all I could muster up at the time. But it would be just as real as blogging four paragraphs.

Confirming all this, I keep reading over and over again from many of you as you encourage me back as well, is that 'when I share my struggles and pain a lot of you actually can relate and it helps you as well.' That I have some kind of ministry.

It is hard for me to accept that what I say is actually helping some of you. But, the more and more I keep reading and even hearing it, after telling my t. that I blog about my journey, she agrees with you all that it is a ministry in itself.

So, I will blog through thick and thin from now on.

  1. I can't tell you how much you have helped me with your posts. Sometimes it is scary how similar our feelings and thoughts are. Just knowing I am not alone is sometimes the only thing that can keep me from collapsing in defeat. Thank you for blogging, JBR.

  3. Hard as it is for you, but I know in my heart that many are being encouraged by your blogging. Like what the 1st commenter said! Sometimes, I want to take a break because of the busyness. But I feel His nudging not to do so. So, for now, I'll just obey! Blessings to you JBR and may the Lord guide us as we blog. Take care.

  11. JBR:

What you are sharing on these pages touches a chord in everyone who reads here. Some know full well what you are sharing, others just understand pain and relate to your expression of it. But all of us are blessed by your courageous spirit! And yes... this is a ministry even as you are healing. God is using your words and your pain, to relate to so many.

    Hugs!

  14. I agree. There is ministry in the act of sharing our journey. Even when people don't comment, who knows how many are being touched and finding healing themselves?

  17. Dear JBR:

I am glad that you find blogging therapeutic. There have been many times when I wanted to stop but then its one of the avenues that allows me to create a world and interact with lovely people as you.

I have been reading your blog for sometime now and I have seen the phases you are undergoing. We are all praying for you and sometimes when I lay down to sleep, I think of you and your tenacity.

JBR, you are a reason for many to go on with strength.

You take good care and keep blogging BUT don't forget that YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.

    Joy always,
    Susan

  18. Dear One, I know there are days where even blogging is hard to do. By now I believe it isnt that it has become hard to do so but that we do it still. Remember during my tough therpay I wrote ever so often that ebfore I went to teh day center I read the comments on my blog to plug up teh coruage to actually leave the house? Yes, reading comments help, receiving comments helps. That is why we are out there to be here for ourselves and others. You know I am Pagan still I find relief here, sometimes I hope I comfort you too. Love you

  21. I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until his task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns. (Philippians 1:6 LB)
We all have a ministry, anything we do for others, that we give of our own time is our ministry. You are helping so many people, bless you and keep going!

JBR I've learned so much from reading what you have to say that I can help others I know personally as well as myself. Thank you.

  23. I think I have shared that with you when we first 'connected', that this was and IS a ministry...I think of 'this present suffering will not even compare to the glory that will be revealed in you (through you and around you) through Christ Jesus...

Your 'story', your 'testimony' is touching others in such a powerful way...helping them in ways you may never realize the full impact....

    ((hugs)))

I know for myself, blogging has helped,,but there are times writing some of the posts, I have to stop, walk away, come back, stop, bawl and bawl, walk away, and finally finish. By the time I finish I've gone through so much Kleenex and my eyes are puffy red for all the crying...

  24. Blogging is the best therapy I believe I've ever received. And I guess what is good about it is that everyone knows exactly how I feel. With my therapist, she knows how to feel, but she may never have been in my same situation. Many of my readers have been and I lean on them more and more in my recovery.

Thanks for sharing another great revelation sweety!

  25. What a ministry you have friend! Words could never express how you've helped me in so many ways. It's given my an avenue to share very similar feelings and thoughts that you have, me getting my stuff out, which feels very selfish of me to use this comment form to do so.
I don't feel, and again I use the word "feel" I have that kind of freedom on my "REAL TALK" blog. I have done my best to be truthful, but I find that most people who haven't been through these horrific events can't relate, and just want the "fluffy" stuff written. Sooo, maybe I'm conforming to what they want. hmmm, something for me to think about.
Every morning when I wake up, I can't wait to go and see what you have shared so honestly from your heart and what you are feeling today. I admire you so much in blogging everyday those darkest, most frightening areas you are dealing with. What a format for people that are hurting! My heart is full of love for you. Your Friend, Janie
