BAGGAGE

****MAY TRIGGER****

Mentions suicide and divorce.

This video touched me as I could relate to her pain with keeping everything inside. Hearing the anger and bitterness of my parents voices back and forth when they argued. I heard painful things between my parents, no kid should hear. I did not know how to express my pain to anyone. My school work suffered. Ended up just stuffing my deep hurt and hung on to just myself. I protected myself from any future and further pain entering by isolating and going within myself, not letting anyone close.

The video also has hope and a promising ending.

  3. Wow, no truer statement ever made, Just be real, we try as humans to hide our flaws, our failures, our fears, but as Christians we need to ask for prayer, God tells us to pray one for another, if I do not know your need, how can I pray, I for one do not like this Generic praying, I like to ask specifically what i want and need from God, he is our Father and just waiting to hear from us, enjoy your time spent with him, cuddle close, and bear your heart to the one who really does care. Hugs Barbara

  10. Great video JBR! I'm so thankful I can lay my burdens down at the cross. Whenever I'm feeling really at the "bottom", sometimes I just start singing, "I cast all my care upon you. I lay all of my burden, down at your feet, and anytime that I don't know just what to do, I will cast all my cares upon you." (((JBR)))

  11. I know where to come when I need a good cry. Thank you for sharing this. That baggage can get so heavy. I do sometimes feel so tired but also haven't learned how to put some of it down. Some I have been able to let go of but not all. Whoever wrote that script has to be a survivor to understand so well. Blessings to you JBR.

  16. Wow what a powerful video, I too carried my baggage around, until I was 48, I am now 58, and although I still have some baggage the load is lighter now that I have opened up and started talking about it. That video made me cry...Mary

  17. Hi JBR,
This is a powerful video, and so true to how it really goes. We gather this baggage in childhood and then when we do "let it go" it is such a relief. When someone gave her a bible, and she didn't "see Jesus", that really hit me too. It took me a long time to get that particular burden sorted out. So glad that I did though!
    Hugs, Darlene
