JBR can now give back the borrowed soft cover book of Hinds' Feet on High Places as she went and got for little JBR a hard cover version of the book in order that she could write in it and underline meaningful parts.
More characters were introduced in Chapter Two. There are some "big" words that even Big JBR is not used to reading. Sometimes having to pronounce the word syllable by syllable. Reading was not a favorite at all for JBR growing up. She detested reading. So, even at such an older age, to see words she has never seen or hardly used before, it is like she is back in school.
Though, the book is keeping everyone's interest. So that is a very good thing!
In reading the words there is such a peace and a good and bad side of life. Also where inadament objects have their own voice in their own world, i.e. water that seems to be singing and having a laughing voice.
Much-Afraid still continues to have her doubts that she would never experience this love and have it in return.
She was instructed by the Sheppard to be on call the following morning to go with Him to the "High Places."
"There she would lose her humiliating disfigurements and be made beautiful, and when the plant in her heart was ready to bloom she was to be loved in return." (Chapter 2, p. 23)
But, the The Family of Fearings got wind of this and prevented Much-Afraid from going with the Sheppard when He called for her the next morning.
Little JBR is crushed thus far......
