INCORPORATING

There is power in the Holy Spirit.

I am finding out that coming off such a high and wonderful intense Sonday deep cleaning of prayer and worship then entering into the next day of the "real world" reveals dramatic effects in me.

One being that "I cannot stay on this high forever." My body could not stand all the glory of His fire.

Secondly, I am back in the real world with real people who do NOT understand where I am coming from.

Supposedly even the "strongest of believers" at my place of work cannot understand where I am coming from with my encounter with the Holy Spirit.

I am thrown back into the real world of real hurts, including mine that get resurrected from my thorn-in-the-side person at work and I wonder, "where did the glory go from just a couple of days ago?"

I want to incorporate the two, my new experiences in the Holy Spirit and the real world.

  2. Sweetie in the real world you can't always please everyone. Not everyone will understand where you're coming from or where you're at. God has you right where he wants you. That's all that matters.

  4. I agree with Dee Dee. God has us all right where he wants us. I read in a devotional that was posted on a blog recently, that the difficulties in our life are not random mistakes but hand-tailored blessings designed for our benefit and growth. When things get tough, it helps me to remember that. Hugs to you.

  6. Unfortunately, some don't know about the real world and even believers do not understand. Everyone is in a different place in their own journey. I feel like I do understand. The Lord brought this song to me when I read your post, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-MSBvPqRKg

  7. Hey JBR
I know what you mean. I too have the most amazing worship times with the Lord, and come away changed, and filled with His presence. I want to share it with everyone, and wish it could last all day. But I guess that's why these are called mountain top experiences. Peter, James and John wanted to stay on the mountain with the glorified Christ, but they had to come down too.
On the other hand, gives us something wonderful to look forward to in heaven - we will never have to come down then.

  8. Whoa, I LOVE that song! I was really rocking here...

I can totally relate to coming down from the high, it's a bummer. But the cool thing is, it's available anytime you want it. The minute you think of God, He's there...may your joy be full!

  9. JBR,

I love those moments when we are truly basking in the presence of God, and how I wish they could last forever, one day, but unfortunately we still live in a sin filled world. Perhaps finding things that help like listening to praise and worship music may help rekindle that flame.

  11. Thank you all for your responses. Oh yes as Peter stated above, it is like a mountain top experience! The little bit of taste that He gives us here on earth WILL NOT compare to what truly glory will be in heaven.

I really do not have a problem with rekindling the flame, it is just recognizing once again I live in a real world where others just do not grasp the concept of what I am going through.

    WOW!!!!!!

  12. I agree JBR... it's a lot more wonderful to just stay on the mountain top! But... even Jesus 'came down' to this earth... talk about the ultimate 'let down'! Yet, just like Him... we have our Father's presence within wherever we are.

Your thoughts are sure growing in the right direction, I love to hear your heart as we share this journey.

    Hugs!

It's a shame that your coworkers don't understand you right now. But maybe that could change if you talked to them. I hope you find a way to incorporate what you want to incorporate into the real world. I have faith that you will.

    Wishing you well,
    NOS

  14. I hear you! It's hard to adjust sometimes and very hard to explain to others. It just sounds strange to some people. Maybe because they haven't yet experienced the power of the Holy Spirit? I don't really know. I'm glad your having such awesome Sondays, though :)

  15. I'm with you. And I absolutely love the painting you posted....it speaks to me deeply. Thanks for sharing your journey; I love how you give the enemy so little room to hide because you're brave enough to pull back the shades over your heart and let the light and air get to the closed off spaces.

When you do it "out here", where other hearts can see and watch, it inspires transparency. No wonder you're being resisted. Resistance is good...it clues you in that you're on the right path.

    Pulling for you, braveheart!
