"Yet a time is coming
and has now come when the true worshipers will worship
the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the
kind of worshipers the Father seeks." - John 4:23

For those of us who are survivors of painful and emotional trauma we have the opportunity to share with others alike who are coming behind us our experiences. Share how we walked through and faced the pain. Walk beside them as well when they go through their own journey.

An excerpt taken from Hazelden Foundation states:

"Coping with problems and weathering troubled times - is part of life. Those of us who have survived painful experiences have a duty to help younger ones prepare to face bad times by sharing the solutions we found."

Also share with them the availability of the healing touch of God and Godly counselors as they seek out help.

Have a blessed Sonday!

  1. i think that is our greatest gift out of the trials...to help others that are there...

  2. yes, and you do that so well!!

    Have a great weekend!!

  3. You're completely right. I know the greatest friends I have are the ones that I have met in treatment or in the hospital because we all know that we've been through similar crap and can help each other.

    Happy Sunday to you too!

    Wishing you well,

  4. I relate to this post. As we have dealt with traumatic episodes in our lives, the stronger we have become. Now, being stronger is a blessing, and it's not to keep it to ourselves but a gift to help others. We have now a mission.

Thanks for the reflection. And thanks for your lovely comment.

    ((((( hugs )))))))

  5. I'm still trying to find away to deal with every day life.

  6. This is so true. Share and loving others is the answer. If I can only give a glimpse of Jesus' love and ofter a helping hand to the hurting then my life has meaning.

  7. Share, cry, laugh and love. Hugs across the pond

  8. Thanks JBR. I think your blog is an ispiration to show that hard work, therapy, and devotion to God are synergistic to healing a broken heart. Thank you for Being Real!!!

  9. JBR this is so true. WE have all something to bring to the table of healing. Thanks for this post. God Bless.

  10. "Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God!" Hebrews 13:16

    Blessings, Precious One~

  11. Yes I do want to help others, I agree with you!

  12. Yes,,,we take what we have learned and then are able to help those that may be going through the same thing...May the Lord bless you and keep you!
