APOLOGY DOES NOT ALWAYS = RECONCILIATION

I have been reminded today in t. that "An apology does not always mean a reconciliation."

My belief was once someone apologizes, then things will go back to the way they once were. Not so. Not unless there is change. And not unless I want them too. Even with change, I do not have to let anyone in as before if I do not care to. Better to be safe.

  1. HI JBR - yes, way better to be safe. Apologies, if not sincere can lead to great harm. You are SO right.
    Love to you

  3. I feel this way about forgiveness. For example: If I forgive "you," that doesn't mean that things will go back to normal or that I'm not hurt anymore. I'm protecting myself!

  4. I believe that. One of my harasser apologized and promised she would correct the mistake. Up to now, nothing was done...Like what I always write in my posts, I always believe in "Actions speak louder than words..." That's the only time I'd believe anything said...through their actions.

Hang in there friend...Wish we can worship with our guitar together and sing the "blues" :)

I don't have a great voice though. You're awesome and with strumming your guitar. Blessings.

  5. JBR that's right, an apology doesn't mean reconciliation. Trust needs to be established with caution. God Bless.
