MEANING OF HIND'S FEET

In one of my daily readings, I found a meaning that more or less explained the Scripture verse below:

"He maketh my feet like hind's feet..." - Psalm 18:33

God is an exalter. A lifter-upper. So, if God desires to lift us up, He then is lifting us up above and beyond anxiety and any care the enemy uses to weigh us down. Or pulls us down.

So, the deer's feet only touch the ground once in a while, where the other times they are in the air.

Even though you probley knew this, I thought that was cool to share any way.

  1. I didn't know this even though we live near lots of deer! Thanks for sharing your insight on this encouraging Psalm.

  2. I read a book entitled 'Hind's feet in high places' many years ago. I wish I could remember more about it...it was too long ago. Perhaps it is still available out there? ~It is wonderful to know that God lifts us above our troubles...You can almost imagine Him saying: "Don't look down!" as we soar over everything while held firmly in his grasp.

  4. Horses are the same way when they run, they have times when none of their feet touch the ground. He lifts us up on eagles wings to the high places. Praise the Lord.
