SMALL IN A BIG BODY

“You know all that sympathy that you feel for an abused child who suffers without a good mom or dad to love and care for them? Well, they don’t stay children forever. No one magically becomes an adult the day they turn eighteen. Some people grow up sooner, many grow up later. Some never really do. But just remember that some people in this world are older versions of those same kids we cry for.” Ashly Lorenza

What a powerful quote. These words hold truth. I sure can contest to that!

I will add....

There is hope! Our Heavenly Daddy will heal those painful wounds.

But there is a catch....

We have to let Him!

  5. That's definitely something for people to remember-- to be compassionate and supportive of all abuse survivors, regardless of their age, gender, orientation, religion, race, anything.

Thank you for your continued support, JBR. It means so much to me.

    Be well,
    NOS

  7. Hi hon,
Opening up to Father is easy, it is the letting go and trusting Him that is hard, but the wonderful thing is that as soon as you do it, He is right there to catch you and help you.

    Praying,

  9. Pain has an amazingly effective way
of helping us to the solution
if we just don't numb it down.
That, I think, is the hard part.
Sometimes I ache over all the pain in this old world
and then I have to remember the cross,
    remember how redemptive His heart
    and how fierce His love
and how sweet and thorough His comfort.
Oh Lord for grace to have compassion
    and faith.

  10. This is very true - the teenagers that some older people sneer at have broken hearts. The drug addicts and prostitutes have broken hearts.
