YOU ARE APPRECIATED

“If you feel ashamed about your need for love & support, it's because you were made to feel this way as a child. It's not a sign of weakness to want affirmation, reassurance or someone to count on; these are natural, appropriate needs. Just make sure to be there for yourself first.” Marcia Sirota

I really like the statement above and I see the significance of its meaning. Especially as I continue to heal.

I always look forward to the comments many of you leave me, and so appreciate them!

Even though I have tapered off in blogging, many of you are still faithful in visiting and commenting on my blog. Thank you!

Your love and concern does not go unnoticed!

**Normally I do not respond to comments, but I feel led to on this particular post. So, if you leave a comment of any kind, I will respond to it here.**

We all need assurance and guilt is from Satan.

I love and support you and pray for you often. I too have gone through some pretty tough, rotten times and I have been given lots of support and love through those I know, it is good to share what I receive.

    Blessings,

JBR one thing I've always appreciate about you is your sincerity of truth. How you now only shared your struggles, but you exhibited what I feel you wanted others to learn and heal from your experiences. Sometimes your posts were very deep and explicit and I think that was the only way you were able to share your pain. Brought light to my eyes some of the topics you shared. I feel I'm more free today because of some of the things you shared. All in all JBR, I've been following you a few years watching and living at times what you were going through. I thank you for living up to your title of being Just Real. God Bless.

    1. Oh wow onthewaynow what a comment. You have always been a mystery to me. You really do not have blog to respond to, but you have always been faithful in coming to my blog. Wow I thank you for your words here. I did not know I reached you as you say I did. I am glad a little piece of me (by God's Grace) was able to free you. That is a wonderful statement and I thank you for sharing.

    in encouraging yourself;
    re-parenting ourselves
    is such an opportunity.
i think we all have to find
    the mother inside ourselves.
give yourself a big hug and smile

  7. Hi Grace,
I love the quote! I have come to understand that it's actually a sign of strength not weakness when we admit that we have certain emotional needs that must be met. Openness/honesty with God and others is a sign that our hearts are flowering, more trusting, (not to mention less fearful).

Hugs and prayers to you, my friend!

  8. Grace, I come here because of your honesty. Although our situations are different, we struggle in much the same way. I feel safe here. You inspire me and encourage me in ways you aren't even aware of. Thank you for sharing yourself in this way. In order to allow God to heal you, you have become vulnerable. You have opened yourself up and in my book, that's a very brave thing. You are stronger than you think and I am a better person for having encountered you! I may not always comment, but know that I am here...praying for you...crying with you....and rejoicing with you!

    1. Nancy thank you for your kind words, words of encouragement and prayer. God's Grace gives me the ability to be open honest (something I was always afraid to be because of the ridicule I would get). I am glad you feel my blog is a safe haven to come to. When I started this blog out, I had no idea the outcome. Only God. He knew who He had to reach. Hugs to you.

  13. Hi Grace,

My blogging style has changed over the years, thanks to other bloggers like yourself. The courage it takes for you to be so 'real', so honest about your life has inspired me to be more transparent too.
In fact, I wrote a new page (my stories) on my blog about some of the pain of childhood because of the way you and others have shared your journey through faith towards healing...It was the most therapeutic thing I ever did...felt like I was finally on the outside of it all, looking in!
I always look forward to your comments too!
    ~Blessings and love~

    1. Lisa, what a sweet comment. I am finding out more and more that what was just to be a blog of my feelings and a release of emotional pain in writing and a place to process, has turned into more of helping and sharing with others. Yes, we all have, and I certainly have, been encouraged by you and others writings. Thank you for your realness as well Lisa. Hugs.
