STING OF REJECTION

"When we end up in a situation where we have been rejected, there is an acceptance in Christ for the new place He is going to take us. It is like nothing we have ever experienced. You are accepted in Christ, never rejected by Him." - Beth Moore

Feelings of rejection can be very painful. I shut down for so many years because the emotional pain of my parents divorce and the lack of nuturing I received from them. The pain became too unbearable for my little girl to handle. Living in self denial for so many years that my earthly father hurt me emotioanlly growing up. When in fact, he had. My father rejected me. Not only emotionally but physically. He did not want to spend time with his little girl. Share her dreams. Talk with her. Encourage her. Love on her.

Later on as an adult it was extremely difficult for me to feel comfortable around my father. I wanted so much to feel his love for me. Somthing I am finding myself now with my Heavenly Daddy difficult. Desiring so much to feel His love. It is a struggle.

You are not anything like my father was. Heavenly Daddy help me with the sting. Not only with You but when I feel rejected by others.

Help me to hold on to the truth in the words above. You will never reject me. You will never stop loving me. Daddy as I trust You more and more, show Yourself to me more and more. Healing my broken parts.

  2. I think what our earthly fathers would have taught us, had they been whole and functioning as God intended, would have been how to handle rejection....how to brave on forward and shake it off and know that we are not what the rejections seems to say. That we are not what others may feel about us. I believe we're learning that from our heavenly Father now, friend.
We will never die or wilt from rejection.
    grateful,
    Jennifer

  3. Grace, there is no one who understands rejection better than Jesus. He made Himself like one of us and went through all the things that we go through, and yet He wants us all to come to the knowledge of salvation through Him. He is unbelievably forgiving or He would not want to save the whole world. He understands that it is Satan who causes a human being to act in an evil way, and yet He has the power to comfort all who are affected by this evil. Trust Him and believe that He has a love that is able to bring us all to be confident in Him, whatever our problem. God bless you.

  4. I am with you on this JBR! I have a hard time with feeling Daddy's love I get angry at Him. Because of my mothers mean words and having a father who's an alcoholic and drug addict it makes me shut down and go to the Lord.
Always in my prayers JBR hugs ♥

  5. Hi hon,
I agree with Brenda. Jesus knows rejection intimately, He can totally relate to you. Trust God's Word and cling to it, the feelings will come as your heart starts to believe what your mind knows.

Always praying for you dear one.

  7. Rejection is painful and probably the most awful sentiment that sticks in memory for a child into adulthood.
God heals all wounds, faith and trust in him must be absolute.

  8. Oh Grace...I know that this must be difficult for you! Your Heavenly Father will NEVER leave you, NEVER reject you and NEVER ignore you. Your hurtful memories are part of your journey. It IS a journey...constantly moving...forward. It's ok to stop every now and then...to look around, see where you've been...see those painful memories get further ande further behind you...until one day, they disappear completely! Keep moving, my friend, trusting that you are NOT alone!

  9. I too agree with Brenda...Only Jesus knows our pain and suffering of rejection...But the reason God allowed His Son to suffer is to insure that we will never be rejected by our Heavenly Father ourselves...that is a pain we shall never bear!
    We are Never Forsaken!
Someday all the painful memories that keep resurfacing will be no more...Until then, Jesus knows your pain and He wants you to know that you are not alone in it.
    Blessings and love~ Lisa

  11. I pray that you will feel the sweet love of God instead of the rejection of your father. I pray the same thing for myself. My dad didn't actually reject me but he was always distant, the more so as he got older.
