WORTHY

Welcome to Monday!

Monday’s are normally hard for me, coming off a weekend where I am really alone with my thoughts and emotions which can play havoc with me. But like usual, as the day progresses, I get better and I know once again this too will pass……

Worthy is today’s topic.

Though I still find it a struggle to believe that I am worthy, let alone worthy of God’s love, I try to remind myself of this daily, that I am Worthy. Of course it is easier for me to "tell" someone that they are worthy and worthy of God's love, than to believe it for myself. That is why there are some positive references and scripture verses on my blog to help encourage me and to remind me of God's love. Still, the reality of the truth of pain is also evident. I know (head-knowledge) that the blood of Jesus covers it all. One day I will know for a fact (heart knowledge) that it is finished!! Amen!

Does anyone use The Life Recovery Bible?

Enjoy your Monday!

  3. hmmm. never heard of it. I will have to look into it. Thanks for you comment this morning. I was just getting on to write some papers, and feeling REALLY down...I thought that I would put a song on my blog, and now can't remember the name. But I found your words and the thought of you praying for me right now is enough for me to put my own self on my knees and pray. Happy Monday to you, and thank you for reading.

    Hugs.

  5. Have not heard of the Life Recovery Bible, but the BB is enough for me currently.

We are all worthy and I was told that if you tell another they are worthy and you still don't feel it then you are not helping them, only hurting yourself and them...I took this to heart and have since worked to be worthy by working the steps.

  6. It so much easier to tell others that they're worthy and valuable people than it is for us to believe it about ourselves. Wish I knew the answer to that one.

  7. I use the ESV Study Bible - love it! It is big, but I do carry it to church, I am a note taker! In my humble opinion, I'm doing okay! LOL

  11. I do have the life recovery bible, it's nice. There is another on the market that is "celebrate recovery bible" which has a great set up as well for those in recovery. I like the character studies that it has.

  12. Hi and thanks for your comments on my blog.

I often feel God doesn't love me - especially when I'm depressed I feel that.

Feelings don't necessarily correspond with reality.

There are so many Bible promises that show God is with us always, in all circumstances.

I pray that you will feel God's love and 'the peace that passes all understanding'.

God Bless you and thanks for your honesty.

  13. Hi

Not sure my comment got posted so I'll start again.

Thank you for your comments on my blog.

I often find it hard to feel as if God loves me - especially when I'm depressed.

That's because feelings, although they can be strong, do not necessarily equal reality.

God promises, in His word, that he loves us and will be with us no matter what.

I pray that you will experience God's love and the 'peace that passes all understanding'.

    God Bless

    Amber
