COURAGE TO HEAL

Will be receiving my copy of the book “Courage to Heal” within a few days. Do not know if I will read it right away or not. May not be ready just yet and reading is not one of my favorite past times. But, I would like to have the book on hand anyway. Will be praying ahead of time for the proper leading to approach the contents within the pages.

I was wondering if you would be so kind as to pointing me in the direction of a post that might explain anything about your journey... what you have survived and now what you must overcome. If not, that is fine and I will just follow from when I signed on forward. My healing began for me when I started talking. I haven't shut up since then and I don't plan to in the future. :)

May God's blessing continue to heal you. He will guide you on when your ready to read. Hugs.

  4. I've heard the book is very good. I took it out from the library, but it was too intense at the time.

  5. You know, when God reveals that time for you in your life, to pick up the book and read it, you will know. I am glad that you have it to read and in time, when you are ready it will help you to heal.

Until that time, we will continue to lift you up in our prayers and keep you in our heart! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments you left for me on my blog! They mean the world to me.

  9. Sweetie this is a good read. I did not read cover to cover but bite by bite. as I was able. It is times when a page is all you might do in a day or another two chapters. Read what is relevant at the moment

  10. I don't know this book, but I'm a huge reader of self help and recovery books in general. I agree with the comments to read it in chapters, putting it down when it is too intense.
You are making progress, I read it your writing. Sometimes that is hard for us to see day in and day out about ourselves.

  11. I tried to post earlier some special words I had for you but the computer went crazy and all was lost. I will try again later. Praying for you to have courage and I will post more later. But would it be possible for you to tell me your first name or a nic name we can call you.
Love and Blessings headed your way!

  23. I am so thrilled for you to receive this book! I've had mine for a few months now and I am just at the end of the first chapter. Of course, I'm doing the workbook along with it. It's not one you can rush through. I thought I could sit down, read it, and apply it to myself like any other self-help book, but as you can read in my blog, it's not that simple. But it's a good challenge and one I am thankful for receiving. I'm excited for you and I'm here anytime you need support! {{{HUGS}}} ~Rhonda

  24. I have and have read most of that book, but it was over a year ago since I have opened it. I found quite a few parts helpful, but didn't really take much from it. It could have been because I wasn't ready to take anything from it though. My counselor recommended me to a different book "On the Threshhold of Hope" by Diane Langberg and I can honestly say that book is amazing. I just finished it last night after getting it in February. I could only do a little at a time, but now that I've finished I know I need to go back and read it over.
