THE DEVIL KNOWS......

I feel I am going "post" crazy bonkers today. Like this is my fourth post!

Have so much energy, frustration, anger inside me that just wants to be released!

Intertwined with feeling the anointing of the Holy Spirit more and more these days, I feel I have been beaten down and persecuted left and right emotionally this week. Only coming up for a breath of air. That being said, not that I am ignoring what is going on around and in me, I want to share an interesting quote from Kenneth Copeland on this topic:

"Make no mistake, that is the devil's intention. He sends people across your path to offend you and mistreat you for the express purpose of stealing the Word of God - and the anointing that goes with it - out of your life. Mark 4:17 says, "...persecution ariseth for the word's sake."

The devil knows how powerful you are when you are anointed. He knows because he once was anointed himself. The Bible says before evil was found in him, he was the "anointed cherub." So it is his one ambition to trick you into cutting yourself off from that anointing.

That's why he sends bigots to insult you and thieves to steal from you. That's why, whenever he can, he goads people around you into being insensitive and unappreciative. He wants you to get offended and cut off your supernatural power supply."

Wow are these words ever so true. I especially like the part that reads, "That's why, whenever he can, he goads people around you into being insensitive and unappreciative." That is so true, sadly even among other Christians. We do it to one another. Sometimes not even knowing we are being used by the enemy.

  1. Hey Lady,

I don't know if I ever told you this because now I have so many Christian blogger friends that I can't remember. The devil doesn't try to tempt the wicked because they don't need any tempting. The devil goes after those closest to God because like you said it bothers Him. And your right, it is a lot of times our sisters or brothers in Christ that bring us down! I even look at my childhood. The person that brought me down the most was my very Spirit - filled Christian mother. But God loves us and promises us a day in time without frusatation, sorrow, or wicked temptation because on that day the devil will be where he is supposed to be.

Hugs to my sister in Christ,
    Amanda

  2. He's so good at doing it. To make your life be not useful for the Lord's glory. Thanks be to God's power and might that you can use to not be tricked by the devil's wiles. God bless you JBR!

JBR this post rings true. I've had plenty of enemy bombardment in my life and up to a week ago an elder at my church was opposing me on some scripture. Satan's purpose of attack is to take away the truth any way he can. Great post. God Bless.

Never apologize for writing-- that's what a blog is for! And your readers love reading what you have to say. At least I do.

    Wishing you well,

  7. So true...my Sunday School class did a study a few years ago of John Bevere's book, Bait of Satan: Living Free From the Deadly Trap of Offense...it speaks on this subject of your post...I had never realized until then what a deception offense could become...

JBR you're right on with this post. When Satan steals our joy, our only solution is Jesus Christ. Keep posting away. Your everyday experiences brings light to us all. God Bless.

  12. Sweetie ironically I woke up with the thought on my mind how the devil steals our joy if we let him. Your post is timely. Don't let him steal your joy honey.

  14. Just say to that old devil "Get thee Satin behind me" and don't listen to him. The devil wants nothing more than to claim a christian to his evil ways. Remember God is always on your side and if He is for you then who can be against you?

Think good thoughts and send the devil packing.

  15. JBR,

You got that right and why we are to pray for discernment and revelation each morning. Too often, it's Christians that give God a bad name in the things we do and say.

We need to be careful of the witness we are every day. We just never know who is watching.

    Love and Hugs ~ Kat

  16. K.C.'s comments couldn't be more true. Testings from those around us..even Christian friends are difficult to deal with.
I'm sorry you've had such a rough week. I too have had so much anger and frustration w/i me. The question is, does this anger need to surface w/in us in order to get those emotions out that we've stuffed inside our entire life. God is there to help us deal with the anger also.
