CONSISTENCY

This post was finished yesterday. But, I have been holding off posting it to now. I do not know why I am led to share this. As it is not my norm.

“Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” - Mark 11:25

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, (sickness, weakness and pain) and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” - Isaiah 53:4-5

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.” - Galatians 3:13

I am starting to believe whole-heartily these truths above. Whatever comes out of my mouth I am trying to be positive. Whether it deals with fears, health, finances, attacks from man, violence, death, destruction in the world, etc. Not denying that there are not problems surrounding me. That is a given. But, I Do Not Want To Take Them On. As They Are Not Mine To.

In the first passage above, Jesus is talking about faith and how it works. He speaks to the problem. He believes His Own words. We too can believe His Own words! We can have whatsoever we say according to His riches in Glory. Jesus goes on to say that "what things soever we desire when we pray believe that we receive them and we shall have them."

The second and third Scripture verses above are referring to Jesus taking our inflictions upon Himself and becoming the curse. (The analogy may be hard to follow.) He redeemed us! Meaning not only dying for our sins, but taking on every single disease, sickness, disaster, problem in the world. They Are Not Ours To Take! He already did!

Okay. Now for the hard part. I am going to be bold here. Some of you may not like or agree with what I have to say. And this is my own opinion and I am not trying to force anything on anyone.

Coming from someone who has been timid, shy and fearful to give an opinion out of fear of rejection most my life, you know this is not me, but the Holy Spirit in me saying this:

For me, I believe there is power in consistency. Being consistent without faltering when it comes to praying and then speaking healing to my body. Consistently! "I rebuke sickness. Pain you have no business being in my body. I command you to leave in Jesus' name. No matter how awful I feel, and how ever long it takes to go, I believe I am healed. Jesus has already taken care of all my diseases and sickness when He was nailed to the Cross." You can apply this to your finances. Commanding debt to go. Or any other problem area in your life that lines up with the Word of God.

Just like the Scripture says above. That means despite my symptoms, I already believed that I am healed. Because He bore our sickness and carried our diseases! It is a done deal.

Yes, I may still have pain. I live in a fallen world. And until my heart is more conditioned to believing the truth, I am sure I will waver when I feel awful and think nothing is happening. Loosing sight of the promises that Jesus said above because my symptoms remain. It will take time. But eventually it will take no more effort for me to say with conviction that "I am healed and believe it," than to say and believe that I am dying.

I am new to this. Acquiring wisdom in this area is vital. After all Satan does not give up easily and is having a field day bombarding me with doubt and fear. Again, Jesus took on all our fears as well!!

I really do not want to be moved by my sickness, finances, the world's problems. Sure I am not turning a blind eye to them. But, I know there is a solution. And that is placing my faith on the fact that Jesus bore my sicknesses and diseases and anything else. Believing poverty, pain, sickness etc. does not belong to me.

Sure you need to eat healthy and properly and exercise. This is not a one time deal after receiving your healing. It is consistently speaking the Words of Truth and believing and commanding health into your body daily. Jump starting before any future illnesses decide to try and invade your system. It is like taking a booster shot of protection. Meditating on healing Scriptures daily to start your day and throughout the day.

Now......I am not saying that Medical Doctor's should not be used! I am just stating that I will be going directly to the Throne and not to the phone first.

  2. "Not denying that there are not problems surrounding me. That is a given. But, I Do Not Want To Take Them On. As They Are Not Mine To."

This is a really powerful message, one that I have really been trying to make myself realize. It's something that I constantly struggle with, even though I know that taking on extra worry is completely counterproductive. I am hoping that as I continue to work on my self-esteem, I can help lessen this tendency. It was great to see this theme pop up in your blog - you have such an eloquent, straightforward way of tackling difficult issues.

As always, thank you for sharing! Thinking of you and wishing you the best always. xx

  3. Great post about having faith to move mountains. We have to believe in what we are praying for...I know that is hardest when I am praying for myself. We have to "say" or "speak" to the mountain. We definitely need to be consistent. We can't tell it to go one minute and stay the next. It is so hard though to push through our feelings and keep fixed on the prize. I think this is another area where I allow my words to help me fake it till I make it as Joyce Meyer says. This post is still true to what you are about - just being real :)

  4. JBR I'm glad you posted this. Many times I've found myself in praying situations for family members telling them they have to be persistent in there prayers. Not up one day and down the next. God relies on our faith and that's what motivates him and the angels. God Bless.

  5. I agree there is power in consistency. The enemy often outlast us because we give up too soon when we see certain situations are persisting.

  6. Agree!! :)
My hubby is a physician and he always prays over his patient either out loud, if they are a believer, or silently if they are not. Sometimes the patient is healed instantly and others God gives him ideas on how to treat them.

    Blessings,

  7. This is so true - I have re-discovered my faith in the last three years and it's a great comfort. My prayers are always answered, for me the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary are my support. I'll never turn my back on them again. Nice to know you!
